Capcom announces The Disney Afternoon Collection for PS, XB1 and PC [Port beg = ban]

Would be really cool if they made it so in Ducktales you could switch between the original art and the remake art.

I'm curious as to why they even need to be told. They're NES games, the N in NES stands for Nintendo. It's not like Capcom didn't know they were making a new system.

MODS: Since port begging is not allowed in this thread, but someone from Capcom is specifically saying that fans should let them know if we want a Switch version, should a new thread be made about these tweets for people to show their support/desire for a Switch version? To get the word out that we should all "take to the streets" so to speak to let them know? I understand not wanting to shit up a thread with people begging for a port but this seems like it could be a worthwhile endeavor to get the word out that Capcom "wants to know" if we want a Switch version.

Go on Twitter and tweet @Capcom_unity that you want a Switch port. That has a 1000x times more effect than posting here.

I'll grab this on Steam. I would like a physical copy though so hopefully that is a possibility later on.

I just beat Darkwing Duck a few months ago. Great game although very, very short lol

This reminds me, I need to buy DuckTales Remastered as well. Hopefully this game collection is of great quality. I never played the Mega Man Collection so I can't use that as a base.

I'm not saying that I won't what I meant was, I am just one voice, if a thread was made telling people Capcom wants to know about port desires, that would add many voices to mine. I don't think Capcom has someone sitting on GAF who would see the thread, but it would act more like a trumpet to let others know to go tweet at Capcom too. Someone seeing "DA Collection Announced for PS4/XBO/PC port begging = ban" might just go "No Switch? Damn" but if they see a thread that says "Capcom wants to know if you want a Switch port go tell them" they might actually go do it.

I am getting pretty scared for my account talking about it so much though, I don't want to derail the thread since that's why port begging is banned to begin with, I just saw the tweets and thought that was a cool and possibly important update (new news, new thread?) that people who are interested in getting the game on Switch should know about.

That rewind feature is awesome. Surprised I'm not seeing any hate thrown at it tho, I remember when people treated using save states like it were a crime.

Just watching that trailer gave me all kinds of childhood memories. Played the shit out of Chip ‘n Dale and DuckTales back in the day. Chip ‘n Dale 2 was the GOAT NES co-op title and the first title where I learned the art of trolling your friend (with the boxes).

This is such an awesome surprise! I've only played the first Chip and Dale game from this collection. I'm happy to have the opportunity to play the sequel plus these other games I missed out on :)

In every 10 replies on Twitter to the announcement, 9 are asking about a Switch port. People know they should ask Capcom why a Switch version isn't happening right now.

With Darkwing Duck as an exception, these are easy games. If you need to rewind to enjoy 'em, it's better than missing out altogether.

Very excited for this! I remember Chip and Dale RR being incredibly hard back in the day or maybe I just was bad at it. Can't wait to relieve the childhood.

Pretty great collection! Nintendo not getting a version really highlights the absence of Virtual Console, though I wonder if the reason could be that they intend to release them separately once VC launches.

Really looking forward to playing DuckTales 2 and Chip 'n' Dale 2; the carts are exorbitant on eBay.

Ah cool, didn't know that. Gonna go add my voice to their then and stop talking about it here. Thanks!

I don't understand why people would get mad about a rewind feature!? 1) it's totally optional, and 2) isn't is better to have more people be able to play through and enjoy these games than not? They're fantastic but they're tough as heck sometimes, nobody should have to put down their controller in frustration and never be able to finish because they're not good enough. More options = better??

I'm really glad I have a second DualShock because I played Rescue Rangers co-op with my dad so much, totally hauling my PS4 up to my parents' house next visit once this is out. I'm getting a little nostalgic thinking about it actually ;w;

A bunch of old-school Action Platformers sounds like the perfect switch-up from the (albeit great but still) glut of open-world games that 2017's let us play. Excellent price, too.

darkwing duck and tailspin are not good games. I'd go as far as to say ducktales2 and RR2 are huge drop offs in quality from their original games as well.

No buy from me on this one. I own every single one of those games(aside from DT2) in my collection.

Sometimes I lament that fact that I have so many NES games (have most of these games). Still cool though, and I'd be down for a physical version if they go that route.

Same here. Cn'D and DT are classics in my book. I was constantly renting these games as a kid. To this day, I'll never understand why I never outright bought them.

Having replayed The Lion King last year I gonna be extremely wary of anything else they choose to bring back. At least those from Virgin Interactive.

Gonna sing chip n dale theme in my head for the rest of today though.

This is great and I will definitely buy it day one! Hopefully it sells really good and we see some of those 16 bit gems down the road.

I actually never played DT 2 or RR 2 so I'm pretty hyped.

Weird, I just recently watched the GDC talk on emulation and the original NES DuckTales (not remastered) was brought up as a game that was not available to buy/play legally on any console. They even have the cool extra things that the Mega Man legacy collection had, I wonder if the same people are working on it.

It's the same developer, Digital Eclipse.

A Disney collection without Aladdin ?

edit: NVM, they did the SNES Aladdin. I thought Capcom did the superior Genesis Aladdin.

Umm, the SNES Aladdin was the Bee's Knees. I had both versions and preferred the SNES. But you did get a sword in the Genesis version, which was awesome.
I hear both sides of the argument, goes to show both versions were great in their own ways.
