Eh, I understand remakes ARE getting long in the tooth. But I think it also depends on how old the game being remade is. I'd love to see games from the 8/16/32 bit eras get remade for the modern age. I think that's a much larger gap than say things from the PS3/360 era onward.

I'm tormented with this. I want a new Darkstalkers so bad, but it'd be their new cavemen ass looking weird 3D art version instead of the amazing hand drawn 2D art that the series was famous for. Plus all of the soulful comedy/fanservice stuff will undoubtedly be axed. So maybe it's just better that it doesn't exist.

It blows my mind they never tried to tweak it a bit to capitalize on the Smash Bros casual audience. It was what I consider the first "party fighter" and I think a remake could have been huge. Just imagine Power Stone but with Fortnite-tier crossover content from other IPs. It would print money, IMO.
