Capcom says it’s working on ‘re-activating other dormant IPs’ like Onimusha and Okami

There are too many people I hate that want "Dino Crisis" to be resurrected. So I hope Capcom leaves this particular franchise dead forever.
Even just the idea of them making a Dino Crisis remake for dipshit tourists is incredibly disheartening given how special that game is to me.

I'd like to see them try a MegaMan FPS (or TPS) spinoff using the RE engine. Their developers are at the top of their game right now so I'd love to see what ideas they come up with. It could be amazing, it could be awful, I want to see it though.
Another day I'm reminded that we almost had the greatness that was this Metroid Prime-esque Megaman game with Vanquish-style finishers:

This is unhealthy.

Onimusha was in the past, and maybe for a good reason. Do we really need it in amongst the Nioh franchise, Wo Long, Sekiro and a dozen other spins/overlaps on feudal Japanese swordsman fighting yokai?
Nioh is dead, Wo Long takes place in Three Kingdoms of China, and Suckiro does not understand what an action game is supposed to be (hint: it is not a rhythm game where pressing the wrong button leads to fail state).

They may not make it with new ips, why the change?

This is fine as long as they don’t dilute quality. Kunmitsu path if goddess and dragons dogma 2 left a sour taste in some people’s mouths from what I can tell.

There'll always be some people unhappy no matter what you do - for me, I didn't have too many expectations for DD2 but it was better than I thought it would be, and I'm very happy with the game (played tons of DD1).

But come on Capcom, let's see a new Breath of Fire.

So they are saying that creativity is pretty much dead out there. They can't create anything new and worthwhile, so they need to dig up these naphthalene covered IPs, because they are running out of resident evils to remake.
They did release some new IPs but they all flopped. Sadly, I don't expect Pragmata to be ever released.

There's got to be some kind of cool game you make from this. Lots of genres it can be. MP Shooter, Space Marine alien stomping game, GAAS sci-fi exploration/action game.

Yes, because it was better than all those games you mentioned.

I’m still shocked these are coming back. Even more with okami. I’m glad they are making a return but they wouldn’t be my top choices. I would’ve had megaman, viewtiful Joe, and Dino crisis ahead of these.

Tbh, Capcom combat is built different.

And from the trailer alone, the Onimusha reboot looks like it has that specific flair and aesthetic that other games in this genre truly miss.

No it doesn't. It looks painfully generic. I mean, the gouging mechanic from Soulslop including Sekiro is shown multiple times just in that trailer.

I don't agree, to me it feels like it has Kunitsu-Gami vibes which I love. It may be subtle, but more than enough for me. It's in the ornaments, the details, the colors, the fx.
