I can see someone going to a supermarket, buying hundreds worth of food, going to a self check out, select fingerprint, then put on a rubber glove, spray the display with a substance that would show the previous fingerprint, and then depress that one, and have all the groceries charged to that poor bastard.

also, it looks like the makers of BTTF2 werent so far off with the technology.... Remember in 2015 when Charles Fleischer was asking Marty to thumb a couple of hundred dollars to save the clock tower
