Castlevania: Best and worst dracula?

What's your fav Dracula fight in castlevania? Worst?

I think best is Castlevania III (had major problems with his 3 forms) and worst Castlevania II because it's so easy.

What is a man? A miserable little pile of secrets...but enough talk, have at you!

I could never manage to kill Drac's final form in CV3... he usually didn't kill me himself, but I would often just run out of time. :(

Not sure if I could choose a favorite Drac fight. The rest of the bosses are usually much more interesting in comparison. SotN in particular had some great fights, like that big corpse ball... thing. And Beelzebub.

I think his Rondo X form is pretty classic; big tall striking, teleports around, and throws out fireballs out of his cape.

Now if they could redo that for the modern day, combined with some Devil May Cry style humanoid bosses, it would really be a boss to remember.

Imagine crazy close combat dracula combined with night striker style teleport from X-2 that also throws crazy amount of fireballs.

So you don't like any of Kojima's Draculas? Or is it just because he's a young man, and he's upset about the situation he's in?

I'd like to see you get stuck in a haunted castle in the middle of an eclipse and not whimper for your life, bitch.

Err, I haven't beaten any of these games recently enough to remember specific Dracula battles, save SOTN. It's been more than 10 years (at least) since I've played the NES ones... I skipped the GBA games. A couple random bosses stick out though-- kind of. For some reason I remember Contra bosses alot better-- make a Contra thread >_>

This is how easy Castlevania II dracula was. Spoilers beneath, but don't complain because this game is 16 years old.

I always did find that one ridiculous. I remember playing the game so long, and getting stuck numerous times because of the nonexistent clues, and the damn invisible walls and such. Then I make it to the end, and I did exactly what that little movie showed, and it was over. So anti-climactic.

I've never actually finished Castlevania II, so can you explain that?

I agree with you.

Best = CVIII
Worst = CVII

He was the most challenging in part 3 by far. Sypha's flame and lightning attacks owned him though (as well as several other bosses throughout the game). She was by far the best of the 3 partners for that reason. She tore bosses apart.

Best: Castlevania IV
Worst: CV2 - Only because I've played so little of it. It's kinda the forgotten man in CV history.

I'll rank 'em. Worst to Best. All stricty my opinion, of course.

Castlevania 64
Castlevania: The Adventure
Castlevania: Legends
Castlevania II
Castlevania 2
Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness
Castlevania: Lament of Innocence
Dracula X(Snes)
Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
Castlevania Bloodlines
Castlevania 3
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Castlevania
Dracula X(PC Engine)
Super Castlevania IV

Soma Cruz is the G.O.A.T.

Mainly because he's more powerful than any of them, and he looks stylish while doing it.

That's the idea behind Soma, doofus. He's a skinny pretty boy yet he has the power to control (some rather strong) demons, and could probably decimate the world if he wanted to, but chooses not to because he'd rather live a normal life with his miko girlfriend or whatever

Basically Dracula spins in a circle around you, and would occasionally throw a fireball or something at you. All you had to do was stand in the middle and keep swinging and you'd kill the stupid bastard.

Best:
Soma Cruz.
I thought it was a really cool twist to Aria of Sorrow's storyline to find that you were actually
playing AS Dracula the entire game!

IAWTP... that twist was really cool...

the version in snes dracula xx is actually really awesome. largely because you fight him on a bunch of pillars of varying heights over a pit. you have to dodge his attacks differently depending on which pillar you're on. calls for really precise strategies.

all the castlevania 2 complaints shock me.

What a terrible night to have a curse. == best line in video game history.

I liked the boss from I the most and II was definitely the worst. II was probably the worst CV game as well and definitely had the worst translation of any game ever. The clues in that game were like "Red walks on Moon for Reaper." --> This meant you were supposed to randomly kneel down next to a wall for 2 minute to get to that boss. *

I still love the new Castlevania games, even though they are cheap knockoffs of Super Metroid.

*Rygar's clues are a close second.

Totally agree, though it's quite obvious from the start. Just knowing that was the case makes the game that much better though, even if the plot wasn't heavily surprising.
