Mirror of Fate is solid, doesn't quite have enough variety in enemies and obstacles (so many steam spewing pipes!) throughout the game leading to it being a bit repetitive at points but otherwise it's engaging enough for its run time.
There's a few good bosses, combat is a decent adaptation of the LoS style without enemies sponging it up too much, a few nice pace changing puzzle moments, atmospheric castle setting and visuals albeit with the sort of inconsistent frame rate (3DS version here, I guess HD runs fine).
Speaking of consistency that's what MoF has over the other LoS series games, it never gets as high but it doesn't go nearly as low, it remains solid throughout, it is what I dub enjoyably average.
In other news I started a run of CV3 again and holy hell I forgot how hard this game could be, I think I got much worse since my last run over a year ago.
