Well CBS did get Halle Berry for Extant.I imagine it will be a possible unknown that CBS could mold into a big star
Also probably won't have to look like a model since not on the CW

I also want one more show in Arrowerse..but Supergirl? She's light hearted and very highpowered, her stories would resemble Flash's ones too much. Sine Arrow seems to brighten up since launch, but not fully it would propably be best to hit the darker end of a spectrum hard, with something like Azrael. Or introduce magical (not sure if NBC doesn't have monopoly on occult side of DC though)
True, but considering the male superhero in question is off-limits to the television universe, and the television universe is being considered separate from the film universe by WB, you now have an opportunity for Supergirl to essentially replace Superman as THE big superhero of this comics universe.
She would no longer be the distaff counterpart, she'd be the sole representation of Kryptonian champion of their adopted homeworld. No Superman, only Supergirl.
Oh shit. That'd be a great idea.
Supergirl, completely divorced from the idea that she's first and foremost "Superman's cousin," but is instead, occupying the same place in the universe that Superman usually does. She's not one of a few superpowered near-deities fighting crime - she's THE superhero of that universe.
Thread got locked, so i'll post it here.
Amber Heard should play Supergirl, it's pretty much perfect.
I kinda want Zatanna to get her TV show.
She was in Rum Diaries, can't recall what else.I'm in. I wouldn't mind that.
Eh. I wouldn't mind if they Vandervoort back, she was great on Smallville, but now she might be too old. What's Heard been in?
I bet you she'll show up on NBC's Constantine.

Its just Superman in girl-form.
On TV? Hidden Palms and The Playboy Club. What's Heard been in?.
ugh, why the fuck are they making her a known cousin to superman in this?
I thought they were going for a whole new origin/premise that would y'know, actually center Kara as more than that. :/
I'm sure Berlanti and co. entertained the idea. And then the execs also asked, "Where's Superman?"ugh, why the fuck are they making her a known cousin to superman in this?

Supergirl is "me too"ing Superman basically."Known" by whom? It sounds like she's keeping it hidden from the public when the series starts.
And I never read that anything about the "new" origin/premise.
Yeah, but at that point, unless it actually does tie into MOS-verse, why is Superman worth mentioning if we don't see him? Just weird, I guess. Comics.I don't think there will be any Clark Kent in this. I think that's just for people's knowledge that she was Superman's cousin. Hopefully she's the only hero here and isn't playing second fiddle to anyone.
Oh boy I can't wait for cape shit to just completely bombard tv like it has summer movies.
Also it's another series that dances around a big hero (Superman). It's hard to believe that twenty years ago we had a Superman (Not young Clark) television show that had homeboy in costume every week. I suppose the film series tanking helped with that. The second L&C started flailing in the ratings WB put Superman Lives into production.
When people ask for female superheroes, I tend to doubt they're asking for distaff counterparts of male superheroes.

Cape shit is awesome.
Nah. In small doses it's ok but I don't need that shit all over my tv.
I don't how Supergirl52 is currently going but I have the first three volumes. Quality stuff. One of the better New 52 offerings I've come across. Wish DC knew what the hell they were doing with Superman.
If you aren't reading any of DC's current Superman books, you're missing out. Superman, Action, Batman/Superman, and Superman Unchained are some of the best stuff they're putting out.

over even Batman any day.

I thought she made a really good Kara. I think she's about 29 now.
So I take it it has gotten better. Action Comics started out strong but lost me pretty quick. I like the H'el arc in Superman. Haven't read Unchained yet.
Do it!Supergirl spinoff.
Action shaped up once Greg Pak took over in issue 25. He's also writing Batman/Superman, and hit the ground running there. Unchained is good, but the pacing is weird like Sibersk Esto said. Geoff Johns took over Superman with issue 32, and it's been good so far.
I hear tales that Superman/Wonder Woman is also worth your time, but I couldn't get into it.
She is also Bitten now.
Playing a lead Werewolf on the show Bitten. Not sure if she has the time to be the main character on 2 shows.
I better see Man of Steel levels of destruction and badassery in the fight scenes
On a TV budget, breh?
Just hope it doesn't look like Smallville or Lois and Clark.

I must be the only guy on earth who wants a Vigilante/Shining Knight buddy cop show
