i've been enjoying the game since day 1. the game looks amazing and runs smoothly for me on PC. if they are gonna make it better then shiiit i'm happy with that. while they work on these patches i'll be busy enjoying the game.
maybe look at yourselves if you're so mad. sure CDPR could've handled this better but a lot of the blame still goes to the people stupid enough to preorder.

I've been playing TW3 on Pro recently, and it's mostly a locked 30 now. Some minor drops here and there, but definitely no "teens" anywhere. Towns run very well. Still some drops in the bog, but it's a few frames, it doesn't lock to 20 as soon as you go there anymore. Maybe it's worse on base?

Hell, Nintendo wasn't happy with how Metroid Prime 4 was going, and Aonuma just came out and outright admitted it, apologizing for it and saying they were restarting development all over again. That sucks but it's completely understandable.
I also find it hilarious that people call an 8 year development cycle "rushed". Maybe this will get people to stop putting CD Project (or any developer, for that matter) on a pedestal.

Sounds pretty much like what happened to Mass Effect: Andromeda, where they basically had to restart development.

Funny to read the aftermath.
I was told I'm one of Gaf's biggest jokes for saying that the game looked like trash based on the leaks, and that a day one patch wouldn't be able to solve that. Even the gameplay officially released by CDPR had bugs.
The game had all the warning signs:
- No last generation gameplay.
- Strict review embargo.
- Removing all last gen leaks.
- Not allowed to use own gameplay footage in reviews.
- The leaks we were able to watch looked like shit.

Doubt sony would release something in this shape. Ubisoft games, while playable, are buggy nightmares usually upon release. And Bethesda games are usually good enough to ignore bugs.
CDPR should've just delayed it another 2 months or scrapped last gen all together.

I think CP77 is the lowest-resolution ever game on PS4Pro. I don't remember any game with sub-1080p resolution. And I think there are no other AAA games with sucha a low resolution. I know the industry well and I personally think that CP77 is in the worst technical state game on PS4. And I do no mean bugs but resolution and framerate wise it makes it unplayable. Not to mention crashes...
So yeah I think CP77 state is worse than FO76 and Anthem.
Again, you cant get AAA game on current gen, performing so bad like this game. Stop comparing with other AAA games, no other AAA games being on so pathetic state on base consoles.

If you have a great experience on PS5/XSX or PC - good for you, have fun.

Shitty move by CDPR but with all the rumors of the game still needing at least 4 - 5 months of polish just a few weeks back, coupled with all the delays. I can't say im surprised.

Same thing I was saying the other day....Look at what they did to Days Gone and the performance was much better than Cyberpunk and DG looked amazing too, not this blurry, low AI, low physics, shoddy textures affair. DG at least looked amazing on base consoles with with lots of attention to detail, huge hordes and great textures and weather simulation.

THEY released the game for PS4 and XBox One, without a disclaimer "Unplayable on OG consoles, please buy the PRO editions or next gen consoles".
THEY did everything to stop console footage being published online before release (no review codes, no streams allowed).
THEY did release a statement that the "OG versins runs surprisingly well".
It's okay to expect some issues on old consoles. But not major issues on that level.
And CDPR still released the game for that consoles and lied about the performance.
Let that sink in. And stop defending such terrible practices.

It crashed for me five times in two hours. The last crash destroyed my save file.
Started from 0 after the newest patch, three crashes in five hours and my save file got corrupted again.
Both runs had several bugs, some of them funny, some just unacceptable.
Played on PS4 Pro & PS5.

I love how people keep saying 8 year development. Did people forget Witcher 3 and its 2 major expansions?. At most they would of had a tiny seperate team making assets for most of that timeframe. In fact ACG said it was actually 4 years of proper dev time, and he heard rumours that they restarted most of the game 2 years ago.

No, because their games do get patched and end up as masterpieces. They always support their games. They made the mistake of keeping the game on consoles from 2013. If you think they would have just said that they know it runs like crap, you were never in a position to take that decision lol.
These guys have a stance of no DRM, proper DLCs (Hearts of Stone is 10h and Blood & Wine 20h, for that price you almost get entire new games) with good prices and supporting their games with patches and free content for a very long time.
They are also a developer that still focuses on SP games in this day and age, while everyone is desperate for their games as a service that actually die in a month (yes poiting at you Avengers, thanks for killing Deus Ex, I hope you burn and never recover). Yes they are making an Multy mode which is totally separate and could be seen just as a bonus, like the one in Ghost of Tsushima.
With all these being considered, NO I will not stop defending them. Come at me.
