How do you save the animations as .gifs in Image Ready?

The only format I can seem to save them as are .pdfs...

:(

Everything looks fantastic except Wonka himself. Depp's "You're weird!" is rather cringe-worthy, as are almost all of his lines in the trailer.

That said,

The casting on the kids is absoultey perfect from what I can tell. And the Oompa Loompas look awesome.

I really hope Burton doesn't fuck this one up. He fucked up Batman and Planet of the Apes...let's hope this is different.

As long as this movie doesn't try to be a musical, it'll be better than Wilder's by default.

heathen.

the original wonka movie was a classic, but it should be noted that Wilder's version of Wonka, while great in its own right, really wasn't that close to the book's version of wonka. it was toned down heavily for the movie and given a lot "nicer" of sillier nature.

I am looking forward to this movie, not to replace the original movie, but as finally a more faithful adaption of a classic and fantastic book. As good as the original movie was, it was a shit adaptation of the first book.

as someone else said, comparing the two movies will be pointless yet inevitable. the original was meant to be a movie heavily inspired by the book yet made directly for kids at the same time. this looks to be much more adapted from the book, which while for kids really wasn't for kids in the same sense of a kids movie, especially one from 30-40 years ago.

To be honest, the more I see of the trailers for this movie - the more I know I don't want to see it which is too bad because I liked the book and the old movie.

Avatars for whoever wants. They're both the same, except the second one is faster because i removed every second frame.

Nah he is right, some feedback screenings have been done so naturally aintitcoolnews had some people send in reviews. There is apparently a part where Willy Wonka comes home from a night of Trick or Treat and his father throws his lollies onto the fire.

Don't like the sound of that.... I can only hope such scenes will be brief.

Uh, I think that was a joke in reference to the old rumor that Marilyn Manson was cast as Willy Wonka...

Not a rumor: Manson couldn't participate in the filming due to touring.

The book is too insane to work directly as a film -- you can pull off a lot more tongue-in-cheek stuff in text than you can on screen.

Oh, and there shouldn't be "kids" films -- make family films, which everyone can enjoy... didn't anyone learn anything from Walt?

There're musical numbers, but the test screenings didn't seem to indicate Danny Elfman's contributions are a little...out there? Apparently, not very catchy and such. That would be a real disappointment. He's a big reason I'm such a fan of Nightmare Before Christmas.
