Ordered Vanguish at Game. Didn't really want to buy any new games and I didn't like the demo, but after finishing Bayonetta yesterday I caved. :/
Probably will arrive sometime next year.

You warned a guy, therefore the store is unreliable?
No, just stating that somebody else was asking about them lately too. I'm only relaying what I've read on other forums. I wouldn't trust their ' in stock' message, especially for older titles.

What country? How long have you been a silver member?

Hopefully this deal is EU wide, I could need some cheap gold.
I'm in the UK and it's probably been over six months since I last had gold. I bought it but I don't appear to have been given any surprise...

You won't get it straight away. You'll get an email in a few weeks or so.

Strange, I'm staring at my 360's dashboard right now and the offer presented to me is "£10 off your next gold, 12 months for £29.99"

Where's the 12 months for £25 plus a free gift!?

They are targeted ads. Not everyone gets offered the same.

Be happy that you got anything at all :(

Congrats dude! It's such an awesome game. Been playing it the last couple days and having a lot fun.

And I got it for £12. Feels like a robbery:lol

Although I've not used gameseek personally I have read bad things about them, eg saying they have games on stock on their website when they actually haven't etc. this is from what I've read on other forums. I also recently warned another guy on here about using them, so I'd be VERY wary about ordering anything from them at all.

state_vector_collapse said:
That's the reason I stopped using them. They would happily take orders and then a few days later email saying they were waiting on stock.

Thanks guys, found a trusted swedish retailer for the same price, ordering from them instead.

Hi guys want to know what you guys think of Simplygames just want to get RDR with some xmas money I have and its the cheapest place I've seen it, and I'm a bit wary when it comes to using new websites for orders.

Anyone used it and was it legit?

They're fine, and 4% Quidco.

My general rule: is the site on Quidco? Yes? It's fine.

SimplyGames are old school though, one of the first internet games stores I ever used all those years ago.

Which games?
Every game. I only looked at Xbox games (cause that was my Xmas present). Anyway these were the standout games for me and they were all at £9.99:
MW2, Crackdown 1 and 2, Just Cause 1 and 2, the new Splinter Cell game, L4D 1 and 2. Every music game was £9.99 cept RB3 which I didn't see.
Dead Rising 2 - £21
FIFA 11 - £23
There was also an uber bomba but I forgot what it was.
Play n charge cable - £10

Where should/can I pre-order the Dead Space 2 collector's edition? EU delivery required :) Local gamestops can only accept pre-order of a certain game, not specific versions of a game >_< The good stuff is always first come, first served, or however it's called :(

Yes. I wrote about them in the last page (I think)

I got Vanquish in a couple of days (live in Sweden). Cheap and fast.

80 GB PS3 is full with saves and PSN games, looking for a Euro 320 GB slim, preferably Move bundle. Any post-Xmas deals? (lololol)

Any good deals for Ghost Trick and/or Kingdom Hearts re:coded about?

£23.47 for Ghost Trick and £20 for re:coded at tescoentertainment.com are the cheapest I can find.

MW2 and Crackdown 2 certainly aren't under £10 at the store I work at, they are around £12-15 pre-owned. Most recent releases are reduced by pretty decent amounts, although they have probably still been cheaper online.

Some of the offers that I remember off the top of my head (prices may be off by £1-2 due to my poor memory):

Fallout: New Vegas - £19.98
NFS: Hot Pursuit - £29.98 (was previously cheaper)
International Cricket 2011 - £6.98
Raving Rabbids Travel in Time - £17.98
Fifa 2011 - £23.98
Wireless nunchucks - 98p (good luck finding one)
Tekken 6 arcade stick bundle - £19.98
DSi flip & play cases - 98p (tons in stock)
Sonic Free Riders - £29.98
360 wireless controller + play & charge bundle - £32.98
Gameware white Wii remotes - £19.98

What's the gift
The gift is an avatar clothing item/prop, it's mentioned in the small print for the advert on the dashboard.

My Vanquish from Simply Games had a crushed case :( Not really their fault though, package was standard bubble envelope.

I have recently devised a new way of getting games cheap.

1. Buy games pre-owned
2. If necessary, gather 3 of these games and get the discs repaired at Game for £5
3. Buy replacement cases on ebay for 50p each

PS3 games are better because the discs are more scratch resistant. Manual condition can of course still be an issue, but manuals suck nowadays so who really cares.

Using these arts I have been able to save some money buying from eBay.

Ebay has been good to me about 2 months back, I have a mint copy of Midnight Club LA complete edition for £6 :D mass effect 1 in great condition for about a fiver, too.

HUKD reckons DJ Hero and turntable is £20 at Morrisons. May be marked at £30 but will scan at £20.

Anyone that can buy me it on 360 will be richly rewarded!

(With £20+shipping and some fictional love)

EDIT: Seriously, do grab me one if you see it, I want this and have no Morrisons!

ebay is always great to look for bargains on old games..

I'm currently trying to grab a copy of Double Agent (XBOX) for quite cheap.. Hope I get it!

Does anyone know of any UK-based on-or-offline retailers doing offers on iTunes cards? Clinton cards were doing a buy-one-get-one half price deal a couple weeks back I missed out on, something similar would be great. :D

(gaming-related since I'll be getting at least a couple of games with the credit.)

Some decent deals in GAME. Saw 3D Dot Game Heroes for £15, Nier for £9.99, a few older games for under £5 etc.

Didn't bother looking just too hard though.

Just been into my local GAME and picked up Fallout New Vegas Limited Edition on PS3 for £24.99. It was hidden underneath a pile of Tony Hawks Shred's :lol

also Metroid Other M for £15 there too

What's the cheapest place to get Metroid Prime Trilogy? Seems really hard to come by at a decent price.

As far as I know, it is out of print, and is going up in price on the likes of eBay almost every month (a sealed copy sold on there for £64.50 on boxing day). It will probably end up been one of the few legitimately rare games of this gen.

If you want to play it, you may as well buy it used at the best price you can see, as you should most likely sell it for close to that again when you are done
