so amazon uk has started to use ups for their standard euro shipping and they've decreased the postage to switzerland too. so not only do i get a 20% discount on anything now (yay vat), the shipping is much less as well AND ups delivers my packages within 1-2 days. crazy. i got ac brotherhood within 2 days and a dvd box set the NEXT day. unbelievable. certainly beats royal mail's one week+ shipping times.

anyone else from europe notice this change? or does it only affect non-eu places?

Oooooooohhh, my problem with UPS is that I'm never at home and usually need to pick up the packages from the remote murderous warehouse instead of getting it from the local post office. Maybe I could get them to deliver to my office instead.

Probably been discussed already, but what's the deal with MVC3 and the pre-order bonus?

Thinking of ordering from Play, but there are no bonuses listed. Where did everyone opt to go?

you could. or you could tell them to put the packages into your mailbox without a signature if they fit, every time. just one call and they'll do that. usually games and dvds do fit.

Noticed that my last few Amazon packages have come from HDN rather than Citylink or Royal Mail, which is good - those two dropped the ball so badly this Christmas, and my Amazon Prime next day thing all-but crapped out on me. The HDN stuff has, thus far, been on time, so that's good.

IIRC, the only preorder bonuses we get are T-Shirts, with each shop having a different print. I chose Zavvi because they were the cheapest when I ordered.
I might have gone elsewhere if someone had been doing the same character DLC deal as in the US.

Game station have a steel book, but yeah, everyone else has tees.

Shop.to have the comic book. Think it's prolly where i'm gonna order from.

I don't usually post eBay deals, but a guy I bought stuff from in the past is selling Mass Effect 2 (PS3) for £29.99... so I guess he's worth trying if you want that game now for the best price. Please don't shoot me if it ends up a bad experience, as he is still just a guy on eBay. He has not let me down though.

£1 off pc and xbox games at thehut: 10OFFXPC

for cheaper games that's close to 10% off, crackdown 2 for £8.85 and so on.

*edit* scrap that, code just died :(

I don't suppose any of you guys who bought those lucky bags got an extra copy of Halo Reach that you'd be willing to send my way?

My copy has been on the way out for a couple of weeks now (posted about it earlier in the thread) but seems to have finally packed in. Would be willing to give you 15-20 quid for it.

I know it's not what this thread is for but I remember seeing a few people say they got Reach in theirs so I thought I'd chance it by asking.

Edit: Just wanted to say a big thanks to Keyser Soze who is hooking me up with a great deal for his copy of Halo Reach. He is a lovely man who deserves all our love!

Crackdown & Mass Effect 1 Double Pack (360) £12.99 @ HMV

Halo 3 & Fable 2 Double Pack (360) £12.99 @ HMV

Some cheap double packs with some classic games.
Just noticed these prices, if you don't own those games this is the best way to go about it imo, I am tempted to pick up the halo 3 and fable set since I sold H3 a long time back and only have the free fable 2 download from a few months ago :P because I was dumb and sold my goty copy :/

Professor Layton and the Lost Future(DS) £19.85 Shopto

AFAIK every major European Country has its own version of the game with translated voice-over (it's not multi-language). This, of course, is the English version.

I've been keeping an eye on this for some time and I couldn't find a cheaper offer (and I don't think I would ever find one since the older games are still more expensive).

Just received and email from Amazon UK|
3DS preorder is now £197 shipped and has supersaver for EU gaffers, YESSSSSSS! :)

Amazon.FR also discounted my preorder from 250€ to 225€ :)

Best way to do it really.

At least you won't have to take time out to go to the sorting office.

Amazon UK now has NBA Jam for £17.99.

Sadly their shipping is still too expensive to Germany or I would bite. Let's hope Zavvi follows.

Erm - what the fook. A few weeks ago zavvi (and theHut I think?) priced the 3DS incorrectly (they converted euros > GBP wrong or something, ended up being €183.45). They didn't honour the price and said they cancelled my order. However, I've just received an email from Zavvi saying that the price of my 3DS has been reduced and I'll be able to see the price tomorrow. Only problem being they said it got cancelled (it also says cancelled on my account). Weird that they'd do that...

Anyway. Good news is that the price of the 3DS will be less on Zavvi tomorrow.

Will the 3DS be region-locked depending on where you buy it from?

Can I buy a UK 3DS and not download DLC or games from whatever online-solution Nintendo has?

Or will I be able to choose my country when I start the machine?

Zavvi 10% code: LTDZAVVI10

This was just for the first 500 orders of the day, which is why it's no longer working.

Used it to pre-order the FFIV collection, though I am hoping a cheaper price will come available before release...

Was looking at the price changes at my work last night. AC Brotherhood will be £20 on both PS3/360 starting next week.

Edit: Ha! Would help if I said where I worked! Morrisons.

Didn't take time to post about it but Zavvi was pretty fast on my order :
Ordered the 30th (week-end), dispatched the 1st and received the 7th. :)

Edit : BTW, I live in France so I meant fast for continental Europe of course...

Just thought I'd chip in to say that SendIt have gotten my respects. Ordered a Boy and His Blob way back in September while it was at a cheap price but out of stock. Fast forward to today and it finally arrived. I honestly thought they would have cancelled it.

Tempting but I know as soon as make the purchase it will be £17.99 MegaMonday, been saving a 15% voucher for that very reason!

Gamepointsnow.com are doing Dead Space 2 for £17.95 and Dragon Age II for £19.95. Both are codes for the EA Downloader.

Not sure how legit it is though.

Edit: Not sure it it's been mentioned but gamersgate.co.uk is selling Dawn of War II: Retribution for £19.95

Was gonna jump on Just Cause 2 before I remembered I have already bought it on Steam. Damn you Steam.

I can confirm this strange twist of events - my last Zavvi order took only 5 days to get to Germany.
They dispatched Red on Monday and I got it today (Friday, Sweden). Things appear to have gone back to the way things once were. For now at least.
