Not that it matters now but I've been using Very for over a year and not had any problems.
Ordered a washing machine, tumble dryer and MacBook which tipped in at about £2000 on a buy now pay in 12 months scheme. Everything got paid and they didn't add one single penny in interest to any item and never once called or sent letters or anything. I was extremely surprised and impressed. Would use again for sure :)

Got NFS HP2, NFS Shift 2, Bulletstorm, Infamous 2 and Space Marine in Morrisons today. Strangely Red Dead Redemption (PS3) scanned at £22.99 and Mass Effect 2 (360) for £10 so I didn't get them.

My local didn't have a single decent game. All shitty Disney DS shovelware, Hunted, Brink and Duke Nukem.

Awful. Reminded why I hate HUKD these days.

Picked up Dark Souls LE (360) preowned in Gamestation today for £17.99 (minus credit).

Great deal if you can find one without a destroyed box!

So anybody's seen Kirby's Adventure Wii for any decent price (I'm looking at sub £25)? The game is virtually non-existent in high street shops and Amazon price is £33. Not a trace on eBay either.

Best seems to be Zavvi/Hut for £30. It might take a while to drop too, knowing Nintendo games.

Does anybody know a cheap place to get the Sly HD Collection?
It was around 17e some time ago, but now I can't seem to get it for less than 30 :(

man UK retail rocks, nearly all of the major 2011 releases are at bargain prices within months of releasing

with my current backlog, i'm not touching a 2012 game at launch. i say that but really im gonna try this time, shits crazy

Does anyone know the cheapest place to buy Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (non platinum)?

I can't use Game or Gamestation as they always take the money out of my account and then say my card was rejected. I always have to go to the bank to get the money back.

Just got an email from GAME saying they had Xenoblade back in stock, but their website says out of stock. I was eight minutes between checking the website and getting the email. Did anyone see if the stock got back, or was it just GAME pulling the trigger too early?

It's always iffy the stock tracker. Amazon's is rubbish too.

Very pleased with this: Metroid Other M is a fiver in Morrisons.

I also just managed to snag Metroid Other M and Enslaved (360) at my local morrisons for £5 each. Then i took them both home and tried them out... Both unreadable discs! Will have to take them back tommorow, not happy.

Bizarre! Metroid works fine for me.

Other M is a dual layer disc which your Wii may not be able to read because the lens needs cleaning?

No idea about the 360, sorry.

Yeah the weird thing about the Sly HD and Ico/Colossus HD Collections is that they can both be had at their cheapest prices through the PSN store.
If only all DD titles were cheaper than their retail counterparts then we might actually be getting somewhere.....

I thought I'd had a good deal when I got Ico Collection for £20, too. No harm done since that's the same as the PSN price though.

It also might be better for some because you can buy each game individually for slightly more (and I'm sure many would just want Sotc...).

Gzoop have the Brawlstick in again at amazon.co.uk for £22.97 and shipping.
I received it a couple of days ago and can confirm that the PS3-version works with PC as well. Just played Jamestown with it. Haven't tried MAME yet.

There are under 10 sticks left for each format.

According to a review on amazon.com the stick is very easy to mod as well. Any info on that? The links in the review on amazon below has been removed.

The best thing about this stick is it's very easy to mod. The buttons have quick disconnects, which means no soddering is required. Higher quality buttons, such as Sanwa or Seimitsu ones (about $2-$3 each), will snap in easily. The stock joystick and mount is the same size as a Sanwa JLF, one of the best joysticks on the market (about $25), so swapping the joystick is similarly easy. The hardest part about modding this stick is switching the artwork (unless you want The Rock staring at you while you play). To give you a rough idea, upgrading this stick will cost you an additional $50 for premium parts.

I'm looking at Dark Souls Limited Edition PS3 at 35€ on Zavvi. Will they deliver it to continental Europe for the usual 0.99€?

Thanks for this, I just ordered one.
It is basically an SE stick, which is a decent stick and easily moddable.

But they send it via the cheap airmail service, so depending on your local post office they might screw you with the delivery.

It almost fits (it's larger than a normal case, but not let's say graphicscard/mouse box size) in my mailbox, so the postman squeezed it in there so tight that I had to disassemble it with scissors while it was stuck in the mailbox.

(Not that this is Zavvi's fault, it's the delivery person.)

I see. If I remember right the last time the postman could not deliver me a package he left a note and I had to go to the post office to take it. It won't be a big hassle to me, but thanks anyway to point that out.

(that's funny, here in France postmans have a pass which opens every mailbox of a building in his/her usual path, so she/he can fit anything in there as long as it's not bigger than the mailbox)

So what's the best choice of action I can take against Very? The funds have been put on hold on my account, but I haven't been charged yet.

Should I just give me bank a call and tell them to block the transaction and then contact Very to cancel the order?

Roughly £130.

Good news. Will keep an eye on my email and my account over the next 2 days to make sure they go through with this.

Very have just released a statement saying that all orders will be cancelled within 48 hours.

FUCKING LOL

I've been charged for £132 by Very

So I decided to check my account to see if they had cancelled my Vita order since I had received no email to confirm this and 48 hours were up and instead I noticed they had actually charged me for it.

So pissed off right now. Should I just pick up the phone and contact Very and give them hell? There's no use in contacting my bank since the money has already left my account?

graaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!
