Just spotted Dark Souls in GAME for £20. Not been following the game much sine it launched but that seems like a good price to me.

Is it cheaper than that online? Should I do it?
 
It's a shame the nearest PC World to me is 20 miles away. It'd be worth the drive if they had a good selection of games there, but I'm not going to bother.

Oh well. Saved petrol for something else!

Last Mega Monday Zavvi ahd it for 14.99, the Monday before sendit had it for the same price. Nowhere has lowered it permanently to that price yet though.

They were just putting stuff in the clearance basket thing when I got there, but it was mainly old PS3 stuff. I picked up a copy of Motorstorm Apocalypse for a friend. I asked a member of staff whether any of the stuff in the games section was reduced (as there had a few titles mentioned in the HUKD thread), and was told firmly that it was JUST WHAT WAS IN THE CLEARANCE BASKET. There was a whole bunch of the Xbox 360 clearance stuff behind the counter, including some things I'd have picked up (Rage, Bulletstorm, Fight Night Champion, etc.) - but these were bundled together and presumably reserved for staff. I didn't fancy asking as the guy I'd spoken to previously was none too friendly. Ah well!
 
I have three 97p games reserved at the Alperton store (all 360):

Rage
Child of Eden
Bulletstorm

I'm not going to be able to get there though, so if anyone wants my reservation number, they can have Child of Eden and Rage, as long as they were prepared to send me Bulletstorm? I'd Paypal a couple of quid for the effort.

Aberdeen Currys was robbed by a dude who got 25 games before me :( Managed to pick up Bullet Storm for my brother. Duke Nukem Forever was there, wasn't worth it...
 
Damn it i have lectures. I guess i am going to have to go to Curry's or PC worl in central London or something when i finish lectures.
 
Just picked up my copy of Child of Eden from PC World, predictably there were no other 97p games to be seen anywhere. Pleased I managed to grab it though, I've been on the fence regarding picking it up for ages

Argh, I'm having the same thought. Haven't spent £35 on a game in a long time. I think I'll pass. Those GBA games are keeping me plenty busy.

I guess if its local, its definitely worth a look they may have random stock laying around.

Didnt notice yesterday that ridge racer 3ds was 97p :/ people on hukd been picking it up.
 
People are only citing Currys and PC World. Is it not Dixons too?

Lol! It happened a couple of years back, Dixons now online only.
 
After 7 weeks of ignoring me, Zavvi was so kind to tell me that they cant ship me another copy of shadows of the damned ps3. They want to refund the original price+a 15% discount code. Seems a little bit cheap to me, because those 10% codes are given out for free etc. I would prefer the game or a real compensation, because they kept ignoring me until it was out of stock everywhere... I just wanted to know if it is possible that they wont ship me another copy..

Anyone had a problem like that before? Thanks!

How much did you pay for it?

I haven't ordered from Zavvi. Posts i've seen here have scared me away from them.

You should get that refund from zavvi (what was the price you paid?). Please state your country and a platform of choice, I'll try to find you another one.

What was the item status when you ordered it?

Stuff that's in stock is normally OK. Then it will go to 'within 1-3 weeks' if they know they are getting a restock. Generally speaking, don't even bother ordering stuff that's 'usually dispatched within a month' as it means they don't know if they will ever get a restock and situations like this will arise.

Edit: Oops, misread your post. Sounds like they already sent you copy that got lost in the post. But my point still stands.

Order date 25/11/11 - the first time the game dropped to 12.95 I think... While I was waiting the game dropped to 10.95 and sold out, but they refused me to send me another copy:

I have told them on the 20/12/11 that my game must have been lost. I did order a couple of other games after that one and they all arrived before my complaint. They only said that they cant do anything until 21 working days have passed (30/12/11), but then they kept ignoring me until today!

Tbh I am really pissed because I could have orderd at Play, if they just had replied me if there will be another shipment. Thanks for your help!
 
Cheapest (reliable) place to get MS points and Xbox Live subs? Possibly sending the codes via e-mail instead of shipping the cards?
 
Thanks for the heads up on the pc world deals, wish i had clocked this thread yesterday though, managed to get a copy of fable 3, Duke Nukem and Shogun 2 for a quid each, last one of each and there were no ps3 or 360 games left either so i cleared them out.

I had actually noticed shogun 2 under a till in a different part of the shop, asked a guy if i could have it and he gave it to me, guessing a staff member probably put it there and wont be overly impressed :P

Nintendo don't do RRP (so they can blame retailers for high prices rather than the wholesale price they set; can also changed this and do the same) but looking at the €60 price floating about and their dated 1£=1.1€ conversion £50 seems like the mark.

I cant create new topics? I am new here sorry :P I ask the question here: Does anyone know about insured packages by the US postal service? Does the person get the money back stated on the package or how much could it be? Because I either got tricked or my game really got lost (private trade).
 
Sorry for re asking the same questions but is there any zavvi codes for the circlepad resident evil bundle or can I get it cheaper separate.
 
A friend of mine's asking about DS's for an older relative. Naturally I thought about the DSiXL, but looking around, it seems mostly out of stock or very expensive (signfiicantly more than the 3DS!). Is there anywhere that seems to have them in-stock for a not too painful price?

(And has it actually been discontinued? The rarity and inflated prices make me wonder)
