Cheap Arse Gaffer (Euro Gaming) Thread 2 - Add to your backlog with ease

Because you are deliberately screwing people out of getting something they actually want, just to make a few quid..

Yeah. The same people who wanted the game so badly that they waited until 82 days after release and for a drop by £4 to £8 from the previous month's best price of ~£12? I can see how desperate they were to buy the game. What a bastard I am for depriving these dedicated fans!

It's essentially the same thing, both they and I are making a perceived financial gain.

People aren't judged by their motives, they're judged based on their ways.

And I'm not even going to bother arguing with you anymore. You're the only one here who thinks it's alright to exploit limited quantity deals.

If you're now going to pretend that you took all of that into consideration before pushing the £12 PROFIT button, I might just think this is a full planned out trolling attempt.

Aren't you supposed to be ignoring me?

I will, tomorrow. You know, after I've had my share of fun reading your attempts at justifying your actions.

Hi. Stop fighting.

That includes making "one last reply" because you don't feel the argument is over. If you happen to accidentally reply after this post, that's cool, just edit your post out.

This is the only warning.

Since the other thread (decrying it originally!) got me kinda curious about the game... are there any promising deals on Skylanders currently?

(And, for that matter, is there an archetypal 'best version'? I'm already musing on picking up both the 3DS version and the console version)

Edit: And while I'm posting here - since I've finally got a setup just about capable of 'comfy couch' PC gaming - any good prices on USB 360 pads?

Any good pre-order deals going for SSX at the mo? Figure the window on a good deal is almost closed if it isn't already.

I'm not sure yet, because i'm waiting for the inevitable pre-order bonuses to be announced (Eddy was exclusive somewhere in the US) plus i'm not sure which SKU to go for just yet.

fake edit- amazon has a board for Kaori, GAME has rights to the Eddy character. Depends how you're fussed- it'll probably all be DLC down the line anyway.

I own the originals of almost all of these, would likely buy them again if I had a PS3/PSP.

Playstation Vita has dropped to £219 for wifi and £269 for 3g @ Amazon UK its not the cheapest but it seems like retailers are getting ready for a price war.

Also I have read on Avforums that GAME is offering £130 trade for the 3DS making the wifi Vita only £100, which isnt a bad deal. -- Can't confirm this myself.

Indeed it's looking like it'll hit £200 before release, the target I've said I'll pick one up at.

On a side note, I'm not sure how many of you know but there's a nice Amazon price tracker Camel Camel Camel.com.
It's worth signing up for an account, to keep track of any price matches and they offer the ability to tweet you via a DM or email you on the price drops.

Hope I don't get into trouble for this, I come in peace.
Also any potential 'scammers' be aware that all traded games have to go through an approval stage. Amazon could reject it at this stage, offering you a lower price (or you can opt to have it returned to you).
Amazon did just that to at least one persons "majin and the forsaken kingdom" (a similar scheme occured). Rejected it as being the wrong version (usually wrong versions are hardware bundled ones, platinum hits, limited editions etc) despite it being the one Amazon sells. I don't know if they broke the seals (thus making it irritating to actually return to Amazon; though they will accept it after some hustle and probably "just this once").

I was also going to say that I wonder if Sonic PS3 will be less than £9 in a few weeks time via Amazon warehouse deals (thus making that the true bargain hunt) but I don't know how they drop prices anymore but they seem a lot less volatile in pricing than it used to be (and thus a lot hard to get true bargains off). Then again I'm probably the only person sad enough to inspect/patrol warehouse deals (well a few categories I'm interested in) on a fairly regular basis...

Got my Ghost Trick order ,dispatched by Zavvi on 19th, today.
Quite pleased since it seems GT price is still quite high everywhere and I got it for 18 eur.

How are the 5 and 6 FF ports? Is it the PS1 versions?

I might just pick up 7,8,9 just to have digital copies ready for when i buy a vita.

Yeah it sucks... I'm on the fence about cancelling. Is the game actually good? (I like dat LE...)

If you're a OP fan, you'll really like it. It's one of those games that is meh at the beginning but gets better and better as you progress and unlock more abilities/weapons.

I think it's a good RPG metroidvania type game.

Do you, by any chance, know if the loading times for 7 and 8 are just as bad as 5 and 6?

No. Every game plays the same than on PS1, so FF7 and FF8 don't have long loading times.

Too bad I can't use the vouchers I got in T3B and Dissidia 012 to get FF1 and 2 for 2.50 € each :(
I won't miss much anyway...
