So where's the best place to preorder a Vita? Or should I wait a little bit?

I have it preordered from 2 places for now (Amazon+shopto) just incase they may do upgrades or something like Amazon have been doing from other regions. The moment a cheaper deal pops up else where I will preorder it there, then close to release cancel all but the cheapest one. Doesn't really cost anything to preorder so why not.

Some shops have it for £210ish but I would still wait.

There seems to be an instore misprice in the Netherlands.
Free Record Shop seems to have Uncharted Vita for €30 according to some guys on a dutch gaming site. I'm going to check it out tomorrow and report back.

I got other M, Fallout, Portal 2, Dudebro, Mafia 2, Guitar hero metallica, PES 11, Splinter cell convication, Metro 2033, and two ps3 games i was gonna get for a friend but i left in store. All for £1 each.

Forgot to mention if you can blag well and ask to be shown the inside of the DVD case you might be able to get some games that did not have boxes. Technically they shou;ldn't sell them to you, but like i said, if you can blag.

Damn. The local FRS closed and was replaced by a game mania.

Rumoured prices of consoles @ Morrisons tomorrow

PS3 slim 160GB £150
PS3 250GB £200
Wii £85
Wii Mariokart bundle £85
Xbox 360 4GB + Kinect £185
Xbox 360 250GB £150
Kinect £85

Vita Trade-in prices at GAME (if you are into that)

Thanks man... I really hope my PSPgo will take the Vita price down to £179.

Driver: San Francisco (PS3) £9.99 @ Play

It seems like the platinum edition of Driver is dated for March, so act quick if you want the original box art....

Zavvi has Mortal Kombat for £2.00 on Xbox. Probably a miss price, but worth a punt. FYI: The Hot Uk Deal gimps are buying in bulk.

As always. That "problem" would only be solved if companies start honoring orders with only 1 copy of the "mispriced" product and cancel any order with multiple copies.

The starter pack is apparently going to be included with any psvita pre-order on amazon.fr as well, they just haven't updated the page yet.

Amazon.fr has the lowest price on psvita in europe so far, right?

Yeah. a few months ago there was a lower price for the Vita on amazon.it, but it's only 10EUR less than the current .fr price.
Now it's 240 EUR for the Wifi while .fr is at 235 EUR

The hut has One Piece 3DS LE on pre-order for £29.95. I know they cut out like half of the JP game but it does include some figurine and there are people who might care about that :).

about that one piece game

i saw a lot of good deals regarding the first one on wii. the second one however is nom existant. does anyone know if there is a good deal sonewhere? (if not im getting the japanese 3ds version)

Yeah well I went to the local FRS after school and asked the guy at the counter about Uncharted for the PS Vita. He couldn't find it in the system so he could not even get me a pre-order price :/
I knocked over a couple of magazine racks when I stormed out of the shop (I have also thrown some blu-ray's on the ground).
Then I proceeded to the competitor (Bart Smit) and pre-ordered Wipeout 2048 and a 8gb memory card next to my already existing Vita pre-order.

Any good prices for The Darkness (360)?

I feel like you could get it for peanuts last year, but with the sequel on the horizon prices seem to have shot up.

I've never got round to it and really want to give it a go.

Sorry for the disappointment but I had to love at your vivid discription. It played out nicely in my head.

Personally, I'm still thinking back and forth regarding buying the VITA as I might visit some friends in the USA this or next year in the summer and that would make a nice region-unlocked souvenier.

Still, the strong launch lineup is very tempting.

FRS and GMania are horrible, horrible places. I'll Never shop there again. I once got into an argument with a GMania clerk because I wanted Gran Turismo 5 NEW (only a week after release) and not 5 euros (!) cheaper used. That's when I left and went online shopping only. It's been a godsend. Also 90% of the FRS staff don't know wtf they are selling. GMania does break street dates like a mofo since last year (3-4 days sometimes), probably to counter some of those online sales.

I do have to say outlets like BSmit/E-Plaza and especially MediaMarkt do first week discounts a lot nowadays. I believe FFXIII-2 is 45 euros on launch day @ MMarkt. They did the same thing with all the other big releases last year.

I bought two consoles from that game mania due to the price being the same as everywhere else and them being pretty much the closest to my house. Oh and the dark souls hardback guide as no other store had even heard of it. After that I got my first 15 bucks off coupon (and used it). Never going back. I was already doing 95% online after all....

But yeah, my local media markt is kinda sucky unless there are country-wide deals. As you can see on budgetgaming.nl some regions have way better deals than others. For instance that Saturn in Venlo keeps churning out good deals.

I also like Bart Smit for often being some of the first stores to discount retail games to around ~20 bucks or ~12 bucks in the bargain bin and thus sometimes even being competitive with online prices.

Finally Okamiden is at an acceptable price! Buying the DS games I want (Ghost Trick, Okamiden, Last Window, 999, Hotel Dusk, etc.) is such a huge annoyance, because they incredibly expensive and only are printed in small batches.

Okamiden is currently £14.70 at Amazon.co.uk:-
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00405T4VW/
Out of stock at the moment (Sold out everywhere else) but says in stock on April 1st - so possibly being reprinted? Surely worth placing an order just in case it becomes available again.

Hmmm, wasn't it GAME-exclusive before?

March 18th 2011... makes me wonder if they had a 12 month exclusive with GAME and will reprint for other retailers now.

Okamiden is a good game but totally skippable.
Not a huge deal if you miss it.

No, it was not. Bought my copy at Zavvi.

Damn, a reprint would suck. Bought mine for 21 Euro and thought that was a bargain. Why cant I never have rare games for a bargain in my collection :P Ghost Trick isnt rare at all? Still looking for Hotel Dusk for a decent price :/

French Fnac has the best deal though.

What are the chances of the MGS collection getting cheap quickly? The ICO collection is still close to full price, but others like Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia dropped almost instantly.

Think I'll miss Okamiden but good it got a reprint and at an attractive price too. Like to see more games get that...wait, wouldn't buying it be the best way. Now I'm undecided :(

Hmmm, wasn't it GAME-exclusive before?.
I'm certain I saw it in HMV and Blockbuster.

You might be thinking of Solatorobo: Red the Hunter which was GAME exclusive (and now out of stock as its older than 3 months; gg NOE).

Annoyingly searching for exclusive and game will yield nothing of use about videogame news and the NOE press releases "forget" to mention the retailer exclusivity.
