Cheap Arse Gaffer |Europe| We Need To Go Cheaper

I just checked GAME UK's delivery and apparently they ship to Europe now. I remember visiting GAME UK one or two years ago and they only had UK delivery then, didn't they? So delivery to Europe is only £2.95 per order which isn't too bad at all and it's actually (or so they claim) 3 to 5 business days which is really impressive from UK to mainland Europe. So how is GAME? Have any Europeans ordered from them? Are they good or are they zavvi? Seems like they add some hefty VAT too which could increase the prices by a bunch.

Any ideas where i can pre-order a ni no kuni guide and get it on release day? I was going to get it from amazon but its back-ordered until the 7th.

It's £19.99 in Sainsburys, thats a picture I snapped a few days back. Might pick a copy up tomorrow. I've got £15 worth of Nectar points too.... hmmm.

They also have Snake Eater 3DS at £14.99.

Is it "safe" to buy from Play.com despite their recent situation lately?

I e-mailed a seller on Play.com inquiring about a game asking for verification if it PAL or NTSC version. The seller responded saying their products are from UK suppliers. I'm skeptical about this because I recently ordered the same game from Amazon marketplace and I got the NTSC version instead of PAL. The game was listed as PAL but was clearly mis-advertised. Interestingly, I asked another seller under the same listing, asking the same question and the seller told me it is the NTSC version! The seller didn't even mention it in the description. How hard is it to list the product correctly matching their picture? The game even have the NTSC listing on Amazon and yet sellers do not list their game version correctly.

What do you think?

Could you return it? That would be the ultimate decider for me to be honest.

I'm kinda tempted to get a cheap Vita from Amazon.fr and it's only this blasted memory card situation that's stopping me. £60 for 32GB of storage? Man alive.

I honestly think the thing would be selling a decent chunk better if the memory cars weren't so ridiculously overpriced. Not to mention that the PSP GO came with 16GB of internal storage.

It really is a turn off if you're on the fence. To see the console price, then hear about a hidden extra that you absolutely must have to play it just seems dishonest in this day and age.

Looking at Ebay now. Anyone know the average price for a Wifi only model?

"To buy me, please take me to the till".

That's what I call silly.

bloody zavvi just got an email saying they haven't shipped my pre-order of ni no kuni regular edition.
How are they out of stock when it was a pre order :@

Possibly because it doesn't come out til next friday? Might be their release date thing just a bit screwed. I've had that happen several times with unreleased pre-orders.

hmm I thought that might have been the case but they said it should have been shipped on 21/01/2013 very confusing

Well, I assume you ordered it before they pushed the release date back a week, so it probably still had the shipping date for the old release date?

this is probably correct, my thehut preorder still shows shipping date of 24/01, in fact they just sent me a "We're sorry that your order for the product(s) below has not yet been sent" email, lol.

If you think that's upsetting, have a look at this e-mail i got earlier:

Thanks for placing your order with us at zavvi, order number xxxxxxx.

We're sorry that your order for the product(s) below has not yet been sent.

The Last of Us

We're sorry this has happened. We're continuously looking for ways to improve the service we offer to you and we really hope you'll give us a chance to do better next time.

We're still following this up with our suppliers and we'll keep you updated on the status of your order.

According to my order summary it was supposed to be dispatched yesterday. I was looking forward to be playing it next week.

I got about 15 for Persona 4 Arena. You know what, I'd forgotten about that game till this reminder... They really screwed up on that game.

I bought mine from eBay a couple of weeks ago for just under £120, including a 4gb memory card, Lumines and postage which I was very happy with.
Makes the £55 I just spent for a 32gb card a little easier to swallow.

Realise this isn't a gaming deal, but I thought people may still be interested. You can currently get 3 issues of Empire magazine for £1 up until the end of January. Just remember to cancel the direct debit before the 3 months are up.

Anyone seen any good deals on Virtue's Last Reward (3DS) yet?

That's pretty good. I'm bidding on one right now. Missed out on a standalone one that went for £137, so it sounds like you did well.

How is Blockbuster Marketplace for game quality? I know they're preowned, but do they at least do a basic check for scratched discs and broken cases before they send them out?
