Just had an email from 2gamer cancelling my Batman Arkham Origins Wii U order but referring to a The Last of Us pre-order instead. Anyone else have their order cancelled?

Same here. Reason: They can't take the pre-order with more than 28 days to the release with pay-pal (although I used my CC).

It's weird. I'm almost relieved lmao. It's like someone made me pre order at gunpoint or something lol. My first reaction was "Yes I'm saving money!" Lol.

Unfortunately it has come to our attention, that there was a pricing error on our website for the video-game “Batman: Arkham Origins”

The error happened during a routine overnight site update.

It wasn’t until the unusually large spike in sales that the error was picked up by our technical staff.

For this reason, we will have to cancel this order.

I've also been bummed out of the Batman deal. I used Paypal though so I won't be refunded for a few days. Ah well. I'll still pick up Batman for that price eventually, just not release day it would seem.
 
I received a new email from 2gamer stating their error and that paypal refunds would be processed shortly, but this morning I got this:

Subtotal £20.99
Adjustment Fee £1.12
Grand Total £19.87

Am I to assume that my now cancelled order has had the discount applied to it?

Got the same thing as well. No idea what it means either.

In a perfect world this would mean we'd now get the game even cheaper than before?! lol ...so confusing.

Maybe the "adjustment fee" is what you pay for them refunding you. ;-)
 
Didn't know zavvi are back to international free shipping, I guess those ridiculous shipping fees really hurt their sales.
They're charging 5.99 for International Tracked now, can anyone share their experience with this shipping option? Was it fast?
I'll have to use these guys one last time because they weren't able to give me a refund and had to turn it into store credit.

The game is new by GAME standards. It's the same way they sell games on their shops.

They have been doing this on their website with old-ish new games for years.

They always had international free shipping (or 0.99) except for countries where lost packages were very common (like it happened in Portugal recently).

But do we have free shipping again for Portugal? On their site it still appears "International Standard: Not Available" for Portugal.
 
Aye, they do it all the time. Usually they are still new in the sense codes are unused, however the case is generally damaged from wear. Annoying if you like your cases looking nice and clean like I do.

For me personally it's just the knowledge that you're the first person to open that product since it left the factory.

spookie.. i was just irate... i didnt say anything nasty when speaking to them.. just annoying that they claim the items are new when they are not sealed.. regardless of how game see it.. they are NOT new...

I tried today and free shipping was there along with international tracked for 5.99 euros. Last time I checked only option was international tracked for 10 euros.

I don't know if this is the right thread to ask, but here goes. My The Last of Us preorder at zavvi has been dispatched on 12.6.2013 and still hasn't arrived. Usually i get stuff from them after 1-2 weeks, a few times after 4 days and once or twice i had to wait 3 weeks. Funny thing was, after 3 weeks of waiting or so, a package arrives and i'm thinking "Finally, TLOU.", but it was GOW:A, which i've ordered 4 days prior. In 6 years of ordering from thehutgroup i've never had a package not turn up, so this would be a first. I've contacted customer service this monday and they've asked me to fill out a form and send it back to them so they can further investigate, which i've done on tuesday. Does anyone know how long the investigation part normally takes?
 
Myself and somebody else in here have both had issues with getting them to acknowledge missing item forms recently. I sent mine three times via email and they didn't respond to it on any occasion over a couple of weeks. In the end I had to upload a JPG of it to an image host, paste the link to that into a site message and threaten a credit card chargeback if they didn't respond in order to get them to refund me.

Obviously it's only been a couple of days for you so far, so no need to do anything drastic yet, but it's something to bear in mind.

Had the same thing with my Fire Emblem preorder. First time ever also something did not turn up from them, after more than 70 orders combined from The Hut/Zavvi. I mailed them the form same day I got it from them. No response. After a week I emailed again. They claimed they had never received it. So I emailed it again. After 3 or so more days they emailed me back that they did no longer sell the game, and that they would refund me. Which after a while they did. One week after they told me they no longer sold the game, it was back in stock at their site. :-)

I mailed them the form 6 times and they always denied getting it. Then I started tweeting them and it took dozens of tweets over several weeks until they stopped ignoring me and asked me to upload the form and send it to them through twitter. It's been over 2 months since my order was lost and I still don't have my money.

One of my hundreds of orders went missing (didn't arrive within 1 month). Back then I contacted them, they told me that I should wait 4 weeks in total or so - then I told them that it's already 4 weeks and strangely they instantly sent out another one without any further hassle.

In the end the original order and the replacement order showed up after a week or so
