What's the best price people are seeing for Skyrim: Legendary Edition on PC? I don't mind download or DVD.

Cheapest it's been for the physical release was £15 on Amazon UK, I think. It went back up to £20ish this morning actually. I'm guessing it will drop to £15 again in a few days or so, as it's been doing that a couple of times in the past weeks.

I don't know if it's been cheaper already for digital. I think the Steam summer sale price was more than £20 actually.

Edit: it's still £15 at GAME.
 
Smurfs fans can now smurf their copy of The Smurfs 2 (PS3 / 360) for £23 at Amazon.

The Wii version is at £19.99 even. If you want it on Wii U, then your cheapest option is probably The Hut (£23.98).

The game is due for release tomorrow July 19th.

Don't know if it's any good, but sometimes these kinds of games just in a surprising way are. Like The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn was a really solid game.

Yeah, that's why I also said that sometimes those games can actually be pretty good. The TinTin game was designed by Michel Ancel at Ubisoft Montpellier for example and to me it was a surprisingly well done game. Solid platforming, quite a lot of variety (it basically has two games under the hood), lengthy as well, and more challenging as you progressed. Also the production values are pretty decent.

The Smurfs trailer doesn't look like much though. :-) But could be a good game.
 
if you buy a 3DS eshop download code from GAME, do they deliver it immediately via email or do you have to wait for them to post you a physical card with the code on it?

want to buy animal crossing but if I have to wait for the post I'll just buy the physical game from my local shop for an extra £5

Zavvi (and associated sites) are okay, if somewhat slow, when things go as expected. It's only when you have to deal with their customer services for any reason that things tend to become a nightmare.

should be fine, but bear in mind Nintendo's recently announced offer which might be cheaper overall - buy pikmin 3 on the eshop (£39.99) before september 21st I think, and you can buy W101 from the eshop for 30% off

No. DO NOT buy the PS3 version under any circumstances.

I bought the Legendary Edition hoping (after all the patches they did) that the framerate was fixed, but it ended up being just as bad. Game is utterly broken and regular bouts of <5fps are common.

Can't agree with this. I played through the PS3 version just after the DLC was finally released, and it was generally absolutely fine. The framerate can drop a little out in the overworld (but to 20-25fps, not 5), but it's smooth inside of towns or dungeons. The PC version is still a million times better thanks to superior performance and mods, but if you really want it on console, the PS3 version is fine now.

Yeah I was going to say, the PS3 version is fine now.

No where near on par with PC but that's to be expected.

The difference between the launch version and the currently patched version is night and day.

Even better if you have an SSD inside your PS3.

How many people actually have SSDs in their PS3s? If you want one of a decent size, it's likely going to cost you more than the PS3 itself. :-) But nice to know, still.

If you want to play those games close to release you might now want to order from zavvi. They could arrive within a week, or take 2-3, up to a month.

I generally only use them for deals (when I am in no hurry to receive the item).

How is Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate? Sadly the fire emblem 3DS is OOS on game now. Any idea if they are selling them for this price instore as well?

edit: Noticed Asda have the 3DS XL with Professor Layton & The Miracle Mask for £146.

I had that when the DLC started to release, googled it and found that you just need to delete all the update data and update again. fixed for me.

Oh and I Platinumed the game before all the "fixes", game plays fine, people shouldn't avoid the PS3 version.
 
I got my launch 3DS from IWOOT at £168 when they accidentally made a Valentine's Day 20% off code valid with it, so they have honoured deals like that before. As for whether they would now, I dunno.
