Nintendo rock the house.
Apparently, when Chibi Robo was first shown at E3, some years ago, Miyamoto said he liked the character. When Bandai shut down the project, Miyamoto contacted Mr.Nishi of Skip and said "How about we make a game using that Chibi Robo character?"
The game as we see it now is totally different in concept and gameplay to when it was last time it appeared. Only the character remains, and a couple of small ideas such as plugging Chibi into the mains to charge him up. The aim of the game is to keep the human family happy, by working, but using as little electricity as possible (as they have to pay for it). The main draw of the game is the cute character, but there is also a fair amount of cynicism thrown in, which will appeal to adult players. Target audience is said to be kids, men over 30, and women. Nishi says up until now his games have been of the "walk and talk" variety, but this one is more to do with touching, thanks to Nintendo's input.
