Chibi-Robo: Zip Lash Announced (3DS, October, side-scroller, Amiibo bundle available)

Who's the person at Nintendo that keeps on greenlighting Chibi Robo projects? Their budgets aren't too high obviously, but didn't the games sell pretty badly? Give me more Art Style.

The bit Generations/Art Style series sold better?

Plus it's pretty obvious with this game that they want to make Chibi Robo themed games even if they aren't alike anymore anyway. Mascots are always easier to push than a simplistic art series.

Chibi Robo joining the long list of Nintendo 2D platforming franchises, I'm more than okay with this.
Now just bring it to Europe this time.

Uh, that's weird.

Doesn't the IP belong to Nintendo though? But yeah, I get what you mean

If you look at the copyright slide, Skip is in there for the amiibo. They own the character. Maybe Nintendo co-owns it in small part, I don't know. Bandai has nothing to do with this though. The reason Bamco is in the copyright is because Chibi Robo was originally a Bamco thing before Nintendo picked it up. http://www.unseen64.net/2008/04/09/chibi-robo-gc-bandai-beta-version/

No reason to think anyone other than Skip is making this game.

The last one came. Only the DS ones didn't make it here.

The existence of an amiibo guarantees that this will come out everywhere, btw.

I don't give two shits about Chibi-Robo but I'm such a sucker for Amiibo's I'm getting this regardless. :(

I don't give a damn that it's 2D i'm just happy that theres another chibi robo game and that it's getting a physical release not just a lame digital only download.

With chibi robo games there's no 100% gaurantee that they will make it to everywhere, hell Nintendo didn't even bother in the UK releasing either of the DS ones.

Would have been amazing to see them do a sequel to chibi robo happy rich oosouji as that was the direct sequel to the original gamecube one.

Oh I see. Thanks for all the details!

Seems like it'll be a fun game and I really like the mechanics with the power plug. While it's certainly different from past entries, this could be a good way to expand the franchise and its audience (plus, I can see this contributing to a Smash Bros. moveset).

I'm curious what other moves chibi has, seems the plug lasso from the DS game has been kept. Wonder if he still has his dust buster?

While I am always excited for more Chibi Robo, I don't know how I feel about them deviating so much from the adventure gameplay we have come to expect from the series. This may prove to be fun in the end, but it's unlikely to scratch that Chibi Robo itch for me. I want a full-fledged console sequel, dammit!

That amiibo will most assuredly be mine, however. This is the first amiibo that I actually will do whatever it takes to snag.

Looks great, but I'd absolutely love for them to finally give this series the full budget treatment it deserves, give it a proper sequel, or even finally localise Happy Rich Big Sweep. Heck, I'd even take a 3DS port of the original!

I love the original chibi robo in the gamecube and i hope nintendo make another game like that. But this new game for the 3ds...i don't like it nothing.
