Christian Svensson suggests we tweet Marvel for a Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 update

Are the marvel cast a big draw for series fans? I don't know many of them these days.

I'd see asking for a marvel style game with an all capcom cast as a better option. Replacing Magneto might be an issue for some, but I'm sure they could find somebody to play the same and it should mean a lot more updates and support.

The Marvel cast is definitely a big draw for series fans on the casual side, but much less so on the tournament side outside of Magneto. Really, it's just that Marvel has so much more crazy shit going on. Weather control, magnetic fields, gods trapped inside of you, etc. Capcom has to resort to crap like Chris Redfield.

Though I would be happy with an all-Capcom roster if Nina was put in. It would be really, really hard to live without Dormammu, though. He's the only Marvel character I'm 100% attached to, and would be sad to see go.

I'd be much less interested without the Marvel side of things. I'm still disappointed that Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel didn't make it in. She's basically MvC2 Rogue with energy projection instead of strength sucking.

They're a big deal for a lot of the more casual players. And even hardcore players would miss characters like Magneto and Wolverine.

Not that I would mind an all Capcom game.

I could of told you the Marvel guys are pretty cool and laid back.

And now Capcom is going to go moan after seeing the twitter propaganda and still act like Marvel wants nothing to do with them.

They should use Magnet Man from Megaman 3 and give him Magneto's moveset.
Hahaha, that would be hilarious.

It would be best if they didn't copy movesets, though. And honestly, nothing about Magneto's moveset is all that amazing. I would be more concerned to lose the characters with special mechanics, like Dormammu and Phoenix (oh hey, two characters I use -_-).

It was undercooked, but the options were undercooked or no more food at all. It's like Bayonetta 2 to me. Am I glad it's Wii U exclusive? No. If it's between Wii U exclusive and not being made at all, and I glad it's Wii U exclusive then? Absolutely.
Apparently Marvel not only forced the early launch of MvC3 but did the same with UMvC3. Still, given Capcom's history in the last few years I really doubt that they were looking to stuff the game with features but evil Marvel got in their way.

Features that shouldve been in the original release still werent included in Ultimate, there mustve been some intention to milk the fanbase somewhere.

tweeted all 3 accounts! anything for more mvc3/umvc3 goodies like new characters, stages, balance changes, ui changes (bring back the old superior ui), and hell even the sound effects and music from vanilla!

I thought Capcom rushed the release of MvC3, and they took the earlier of the two times Marvel gave them to release UMvC3. Capcom also took that earlier UMvC3 release date due to SFxT.

Does Marvel really have Capcom by the cajones when it comes to updating the game? Even balance tweaks? I think they also said the reason there's no PC version is because it wasn't in the agreement with Marvel when they initially developed the game and it's too much effort to come to terms with one.

I agree. How about everyone that was hoodwinked into paying $60 for the Marvel vs Capcom 3 beta, get a free downloadable update to Ultimate MvC3?

I only buy the game for the capcom side.
Never even care about what's going on the marvel side of things. Though I can easily see why their such a big draw for most.

I want that Date Masamune.

I know a some folks here like Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 but don't visit the OT thread, so I'm posting this here; if you hate the game, cool - I'm not asking for anyone's support who wouldn't want to buy the game, I just want to be sure people know what's up:

Sven at Capcom USA has recently said that our voices have been heard at Capcom, but that he thinks that Marvel needs convincing. He suggested three Twitter accounts that need to receive some love:

@AgentM (Ryan Peganos)
@cbake76 (Chris Baker)
@MarvelBlip (Marvel Games, which seems to have connections to Chris Baker and others)

AgentM has responded to the numerous tweets he received:
https://twitter.com/AgentM/status/289834747251810304
https://twitter.com/AgentM/status/289836214540976130

I hate Twitter, but I've made an account just for occasions like these. It's quick, and it will help our chances of getting more content updates in the future. If this is something you care about, pitch in - it only takes a moment of your time.

In other words, its finally been greenlit and now this is the first marketing step.

Its such an obvious ploy at this point.

Im not going to bug the twitter people just yet, since they are probably being swarmed, but it's good to know who to contact. MvC is still an incredibly popular franchise and it really deserves the updates and character additions that people want.

Don't shoo your love away Mr. Puppy!

You mean characters like Phoenix Wright and Strider Hiryu? Or do you mean characters like Ghost Rider and Dr. Strange? Not every character is going to be a fan favorite, but Ultimate had some good choices.

Marvel side mostly. I do give them props on bringing back strider and phoneix wright just to appease the people who cried for them for months and now dont use them.

I don't believe a single thing Svensson says, that guy's full of shit, I'll only believe him when Ace Attorney Investigations 2 comes stateside due to Ace Attorney 5 and the iOS games selling well here (like he stated)

Balance tweeks + More characters + More stages. A proper update like UmvsC3 was or like SFxT's bullshit was supposed to be.

It just wreaks of, "Damn baby, I know I burned you before, but I'm good for it this time! Really I swear!"

1 trip to SRK. That's all it'd take to figure out what people want. It's pretty much unequivocal at this point.

This should be in the OP. Those of us who don't follow the development side so closely would have no idea what we're supposed to Tweeting about, based on the OP.

Looking at the updated article it seems Sven didn't mean for everyone to swarm the marvel guys, but it's cool that they love the response. I will do my part and hopefully we see something from capcom. MVC deserves to be thrown a bone at least. They update everything else, but Mahvel is always left out in the cold.

Marvel foolishly forced Capcom to release UMVC3 so soon. If they allowed Capcom a few more months they could have had a licenced game at the same time as the Avengers. Stupid.

I think it's the opposite. Both parties know there is no chance of anything more right now and are jerking fans along so no one has to deliver the bad news and get the blame.

Not to mention that Svensson's comments were misreported.

Capcom has shown zero interest in the Marvel series since it announced SFxT. I find it a little hard to believe they've suddenly greenlit an update.
