REMEMBER ME!!

Love that soundtrack...totally makes the game, and the 'remixing' and dynamic stuttering in the up-tempo parts really evoked the storyline and enhanced gameplay like few others.

The more traditional compositions are good too...

Never played Remember Me. All I remember was people laughing at it's name, because it sold poorly I think and nobody would remember it, contrary to the name. Was the game actually good? This piece sounds nice.

I'm not even sure if I'm hearing the right show, says "Saturday Night at the Movies".

The description I'm seeing mentions something like "from the world of cinema to video games featuring Nobuo Uematsu"

So I guess it's the right show.

That's right.

It's usually movie soundtrack night on Classic FM but they've decided to dedicate 2 hours of it to videogames.

I used to listen to Classic FM at the movies when I worked in a warehouse on a Saturday evening. Jurassic Park and Superman were guaranteed plays.

There's a tireless hero in all this, which is the guy behind the @classicvgmusic twitter account. He's campaigned tons, and has really helped to raise awareness in the UK. Give them a follow. The guy behind it works PR for Bethesda, and is just one of the biggest game music lovers I've ever met.

I believe he had a hand in the script that's being read and today's playlist, too.

Holy crap! Today's real megaton is that more than two people can have the same first name.

Nice!I was thinking it a shame that Deus Ex: Human Revolution didn't look set to feature, but the Thief track playing right now is a damned fine choice.

Wonder how a Katamari track would go down...! ^_^

Very impressed with the choices so far. Remember me was a stand out. Thief track sounds so sinister.

Not much chance he will play hotline miami :)

I noticed that too. Presumably they normally do film soundtracks, but today they're celebrating video game soundtracks instead.
I think whenever Classic FM do listener votes, where you can vote online, the gaming community rallies together and basically skews the results. What would normally be a chart full of 'true' classical music is full of pieces from games. Initially this would have probably upset a lot of their listeners, but it's good to see them embracing it and potentially attracting a new audience of gamers to the radio station.

I'm following him now too. Also Tweeted ClassicFM to show my approval :)

Loooove Tetris theme. Would have it play a lot in Luigi's Mansion in Super Smash. Both Type-A and B. I hope they're in the next Smash too.

Ow god, this music is beautiful

Anyone knows who's performing this?

Some Canadian with a french name the host had a hard time pronouncing, so I couldn't recognize it. Maybe I would though since he probably is from Québec if he's french canadian, though could be from elsewhere. Is there anywhere they write down the name ?

The best original theme song from GTA in my opinion.

Thanks (to the others above too). Heard of her a few times, most notably when I went to the new Orchestral House last summer for a Video Game music concert some people mentioned her name. Don't know much about her though but just looked up some more.
