Assassin's Creed music has always been good in my opinion, but never heard any of AC4's OST before. Sounds pretty interesting!

3 and 4 had different composers to 2, BH and Revelations didn't they?

I love the main theme. The main themes are always good. AC II's remains my favourite, and the subtle soundtrack in Florence was another favourite off that awesome soundtrack. But AC IV's theme is great, III's too (along with the Fight Club piece) there's a lot of great songs from AC.

Hoping we get to hear some of Austin Wintory's Journey soundtrack if it hasn't already been on. Apotheosis or The Road of Trials would be amazing.

Yeah, I agree. I recently replayed Brotherhood and some of the music when exploring the Rome countryside is absolutely beautiful.

Classic FM should just sell copies of this show on a two-disc set - an hour apiece - I'd certainly buy a copy!

All these recordings are freely available elsewhere, remember!

EDIT: And by freely I mean easy to find, not necessarily free. Though a lot of them are available legally for free, too.

I'm not feeling this version of the SMB theme, I must say. I'm glad that this is a thing though. I never thought it would be a commercial radio station doing this instead of the BBC though.

Radio 3 wouldn't touch this subject with a ten foot pole. They had a show about movie OSTs and got a barrage of complaints.

Classic FM 's Top 100 classical has about 3 or 4 game pieces in its Top 10, plus Howard Goodall is genuinely into expanding & popularising orchestral & instrumental music. He's done a ton of really good TV shows from a musicology perspective as well as 'Guide to the...' looking at the different classical forms such as opera, symphony and so on.
