Damn, you think this kind of thing is fun?
I'm 98% sure that is said as sarcasm.

It's hard to tell, seems like a lot of people are rooting for violence at the convention.
What? Why would anyone want some stupid shit like that?

Who knows. People were laughing when that guy bull rushed Trump on stage a few months ago, and posters on this very site were cheering on the guy who tried to pull the gun out of the cop's holster hoping to shoot Trump. There are some messed up people out there.
Hilarious they want to get rid of gun free zones but are calling for their own convention to be gun free. Lmao
Is there this much fear surrounding the DNC? I keep hearing about the RNC causing people to freak out but not the DNC. Are both events expected to get hit with violence?

I hate to be that guy, but link?
"posters" and "people"
ok
Is anyone doing that in here?
Smart move by the police chief. Even if this shouldn't be an issue in the first place, I just hope that everyone stays safe next week.
Jesus. Here is the photo today of a guy walking around open carry close to the RNC
First stay safe Manky Society
Second in the end it is the Republicans that take away gun rights....things that make you go hmmmmmmmm

how about police lay down their arms first

RNC has Trump and a bunch of dummies stirring shit up especially with high race tensions in additional to an all you can carry gun buffet. It's a not a good situation. DNC is a typical political gathering that may attract oppositional crazies but with reasonable security and less antagonism.
I'm an attorney for the city of Philadelphia and I'd say people here are definitely worried about protests and violence/arrests/etc. resulting from that, but not so much about guns and such specifically. We don't have particularly strong gun laws here but it definitely hasn't been seen as an issue. Also, a lot (most, I think?) of the protests are pro-Bernie, so I think people aren't as worried that they'll devolve into mass chaos and violence.
State law in Ohio allows for licensed firearm owners to wear their weapons in public. With the exception of a small secure zone inside and around the Quicken Loans Arena, residents, delegates and protesters are legally permitted to walk around the city including within its 1.7 square mile regulated event zone any firearm not explicitly banned by the state.

Yes, how about the organisation we have given the power to uphold law and order do so without any weapons, while the citizens are allowed to openly carry their firearms around. That sounds like a very bright idea.how about police lay down their arms first
Let's be clear. There is already no open carry allowed in certain areas. If this current limitation is happening, I don't understand why suddenly it's a constitutional issue to make the zone bigger? It's either open carry everywhere or nowhere if you want to make a constitutional issue out of it.
Limiting, but not limiting enough, is just a bad call by police.

How? It's not the same people or parties.
Police Unions are not the RNC and vice versa.
Also police unions have been pro better gun regulation as well.
Why? If the police are already securing an area beyond the venue, it's within their power to extend that. Otherwise, what they're currently doing is illegal. It'd probably have to be done via the legislature.
We and the rest of Northeast Ohio GAF are using common sense.

The Democrats aren't the ones with rabid gun nuts as a huge part of their voter base.
