My $30 will probably go to Picross e2 and Ace Attorney 5. Potentially just AA5, I have quite a number of puzzles still to complete in Picross e1 :/

Plat and Gold awards are released. Overall, they're disappointing this year. Is the 3 set poster or Majora Mask soundtrack cd going to be more of a collectible/?

Honestly... Don't let that impact your decision. I sat on last year's pin-set for an age hoping to get a few bucks for it on Ebay, and no one ever bites. I think the audience willing to pay fanatic-tier pricing for anything Nintendo-branded is much smaller than people might suspect.

This question may have been answered already but for those that have family accounts, would you be able to get two separate $30 vouchers if each household member registers FE:A and SMTIV individually on their own login?

Nope. You can't. It must be two completely different account to get two $30 vouchers. It's even stated on the site.

Details

Limit of one $30 Nintendo eShop Credit per Club Nintendo member.
Unretrieved or unredeemed activation codes for Nintendo eShop credit will have no value and will be deleted after the expiration dates listed above.
Both games must be registered to the same member account to qualify for this offer.
* $30 credit can be redeemed for the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS or Wii U.

Well, as far as I'm aware, each member of a family account is a separate entity for registrations/promotions/etc. Might have to test it to get 100% confirmation (or email Nintendo).

ace attorney 5 is where my $30 will go. i wonder how capcom will price it. i can see them doing $30. i hope they don't do $40.

I bought Fire Emblem digitally but am getting the physical copy SMTIV due to the extras and owning the other SMT games. Will I still get the credit?

For some reason I assumed it was gonna be $40. I thought it was confirmed but I guess I tricked myself into believing that based on MSRP pricing of most games

WiiU and 3DS are the same, so it should work both ways!
Yep, I redeemed mine on the Wii U eShop since I didn't think there was anything particular that I wanted to get digitally on the 3DS one.

The only caveat is that it has to be one or the other. They shops don't share the same accounts, so you can't spend the credits on stuff from both shops.

My copy of SMT IV was shipped by Amazon today. I should get it by Thursday. I'm thinking of using the $30 credit towards all Fire Emblem DLC. Definitely very nice :)

I bought the Mii Plaza stuff with my $30. There was no justification for buying them with my own money. Then I bought Crimson Shroud. Dunno what to do with the rest of my $7.02.

Still waiting for my SMT4 code so I can decide whether to sell it or buy a Fire Emblem code.

Newegg sent a shipping notification email at 9am this morning, but I just checked and my shipping status is "Ship Request Received" which seems ominous and not good.

I have a Shin Megami Tensei US code but I just looked at my Fire Enblem box and it doesn't have a code in it cos it was the Asian version :(

Anybody have a spare Fire Enblem code, or anyone want to make an offer for my Shin Megami code ... can gift me some Steam games or something !?!

I've been looking for a Shin Megami code! Perhaps we can make a deal? :p

I also suspect that the group who would pay for these and group that earns them through Club Nintendo share quite a bit of overlap.

Hm. I've registered both games, and the $30 credit shows up in my To Do History but when I click it I am being asked for another registration code? I figured it was just a weird quirk last night, but I'm seeing the same issue today. Has anyone else had this?

The same thing is happening to me.

I've skimmed the topic but didn't see the answer, so please excuse me if this has already been addressed.

But, I bought Fire Emblem months ago when it first came out, will I still get the credit if I register SMT4 now?

Yes I believe that is the case.

Man I wish this extended to physical purchases, I simply must have the physical media to stack on my shelves.

As long as both games are registered before the deadline, you will qualify for the promotion. Doesn't matter if Fire Emblem was registered before or after the promotion started.

wow guess I will be picking up SMT:IV now I was always planning on it but if they are throwing $30 dollars at me its a no brainier.

Very cool promotion! Hope they extend it to Wii U games! Buy Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101 get 40$ eShop credit!

I didn't get mine. I think it's because I recently created a family account from my brothers main admin account and I registered Fire Emblem before I created that account, so one game is on his admin account and one is on my newly created family account. You can see on our registration history that both games are there, so there shouldn't be an issue.

I've emailed Nintendo about, so I'm waiting to hear back from them.

assuming Phoenix 5 tragically gets no physical release (doesn't seem likely at this point...) it's a no brainer where my $30 credit goes.

I'm buying this and using the $30 to put toward Animal Crossing. I've taken next week off to finally quit smoking. Getting wrapped up in these two beastly games should help ease tension and get my mind off things.

Thank you Nintendo!

This thread reminded me to check my Club Nintendo account to get the Platinum reward (I opted for the calendar).

I saw that I had forgotten to register EO IV and FE Awakening and the deadline had expired. I contacted Nintendo and got the deadline extended. Don't want to loose those 80 points...

Could I use my 30 dollars and put it towards DKCR, then pay the rest off with my debit card or something.

Never bought anything off the eshop.

Bought a Fire Emblem code for $10 off someone to get my credit. Feels kinda silly to go to those kinda lengths for a net $20 of eShop credit, but knowing that I spent $10 to get thirty bucks worth of stuff on the store will make me feel better about dealing with Nintendo's lack of an account system.

Since I still don't plan on ever spending more than $5 at a time on eShop stuff (Friday Monsters will be my one exception, Ayabe 4EVA), this credit should last me the whole generation.

In any case, props to NoA for a good promo.
