In desperate need of lighting. Looks like one of DC's PSX shovelware ports.

And I count 5 1st gen PSP racers already. Give me a break.

Looks nowhere near DC quality the textures are awful especially the trees. Still foir a handheld it is impressive.

looks like cmr ps2 to me. another game to sell me on psp.

i just wonder if i could really get into a hand held racer... they take more concentartion then a lot of games for me, and i'm not sure the experience would be the same..

According to Playfrance TOCA 2 is coming to PSP as well. The port is being made by Sumo Digital (OutRun 2 Xbox). There will be the 21 cars in a race.

TOCA Race Driver 2 on PSP will cram in all 15 different motorsports as featured in the PlayStation 2 edition – including GT Sports Car Racing, Street Racing, Rally, DTM, V8 Supercars, Global GT Lights, Rally Cross, Formula Ford, Open Wheel Grand Prix, Classic Car Racing, Super Truck Racing, Stockcar Oval Racing, Ice-Racing, Convertible Racing, and Performance Cars – along with over 30 different global championships and 52 circuits. Most significantly, even on PSP, the game will display up to 21 cars racing on track simultaneously and have WiFi-enabled LAN play for up to 8 players.

A special edition of Colin McRae Rally 2005 will lead Codemasters' PSP publishing schedule. This benchmark of rally games will come to Sony's handheld format with over 30 rally cars, a diverse range of rally events, cups and championships to create a world of rallying for players on the move.

With a variety of gaming modes, including 4WD Championship, Career and Multiplayer modes over the wireless network, the game's structure will offer the perfect mobile rallying experience. The game's structure enables players to pick up and play for as long as they wish – whether it be hours or 5 minutes at a time – their progress will be updated without having to wait for a save point. Colin McRae Rally 2005 on PSP is being developed by Six By Nine, the team responsible for the hugely successful PC editions of Colin McRae Rally 3, 04 and 2005.

DC or no DC, this game looks just plain bad compared to RR on PSP.

It would be great if SEGA OK's those guys to port Outrun 2 to PSP.

"DC or no DC, this game looks just plain bad compared to RR on PSP."

+1 - RR looks way ahead of the game.

Wow. Looks like one of those quick Ps1 ports ;)

V Rally 2 Dc was the one of the worst looking games on the DC. The ps1 was better in some aspects :lol

I hope this sort of thing doesn't mean that Namco pulled a Soul Calibur with Ridge Racers.... I hope that game doesn't remain the technical apex of the PSP for most of the system's life.

XS+ already said it. This game needs lighting...badly. That's most of the reason it looks like ass. CMR isn't far off V-Rally, it just needs lighting to flesh out those models. Still, it's gonna be blown away by a lot of other games in the class. And if those last two shots are from TOCA PSP, then that already looks better. PEACE.

Nowhere near DC quality you say? I think you need to refresh your memory. Behold, 3rd party Dreamcast racers (with one first party thrown in)...

Most people are talking from memory, I'd say.

Of course, DC can do much better than this...but so can PSP.

First PSP:

it looks good in motion. On thing I always see though with people playing psp is that nobody uses the analog..like ever.
