~1lb helmet, thrown by a 14 year old, maybe max 70mph, has how much force? How much force does it take to tear a tendon by blunt force? Sounds like we need the Myth Busters.

Huh, aren't sports related accidents covered by insurance companies?
I'm an ignorant euro so I might be missing something but shitty accidents happen all the time and that's why people subscribe insurance in the first place.

That sounds fucked up.

Are we sure the coach didn't get the tear when trying to dodge the baseball helmet?
I doubt the strike of the helmet could do that.
That's what I was thinking. He took a wrong step and got the injury.

Now he's got some medical bills and wants somebody else to pay it. Might as well sue the whole team for winning and causing the celebration. Might as well sue the person that invented baseball. No less ridiculous than trying to sue a kid for throwing a helmet.
