COD 4 Beta Thread

I never thought the sniper was too powerful. I hardly use it, but do get sniped a lot. I'm thinking the M4 is a little powerful. I was getting decent kills with the M16. I might go like 10-9 or something. Playing Team Deathmatch on Fallen with the M4, I usually end up logging at least 30 kills with the M4. That seems to be the weapon everyone else uses too.

I keep telling this to myself - but honestly every time I check my email and there's nothing I die a little inside.
 
The game is very cool, but I suck. I just remembered why I stopped playing online games, but, hey, I guess it depends on the skill level of other.

I hope I don't get banned from GaF or COD4 beta by asking this question but:

I got my beta for me Un4rmedBl4ckM4n. No problem.

But I also signed my nephew up under his gamertag using my work email. He is away and does not know I signed him up and he doesn't even know about this game. Also he does not have a 360. His GT is on my console. Checked my work email this morning and he received a beta token.

If worse comes to worse when it is announced that no more tokens will be given out and I haven't told him can i just give away the token or is it tied to the GT it was used to register.

P.S. don't PM me for the token cause I don't wanna give someone a token and they still end up getting one later.

i had this problem to. tired restarting the game and even the 360...

SOLUTION for me was to make sure no one else is signed onto your 360. my wife got the beta invite before me, so we where logging in with her account [while my account is also logged in]. once i logged off the other account, it worked fine.

Wow I was like that this morning until I checked my email 2 mins ago. I got in the beta!

I'm noticiing alot more people going for m203 kills (I've been hit with it a few times to the chest while trying to descend stairs on Crash...). I like the M4 but Crash is the only map I use it on. I find the MP5,Shotgun and any Light machine gun to be the most effective on Vacant and I typically just snipe on Overgrown. To me, Vacant is all about how much shit you can through at your opponent in the least amount of time. I've noticed a lot of people using the M4 on it and I don't know how well they're doing but I'm consistently in top 3 when I'm using the mp5. Whoever I played with from gaf last night on team tactical can attest to this :lol
 
I always have a hard time finding a good team to be hardcore with, im here to win, not have fun, although winning is having fun. Second off im a super gun geek, usually people are in online matches for team killing and circle jerks, and dont know crap about crap, well anyways, let me know if anybody has a decent clan I can at the least, try out for. I always get around 20 kills with the M4 on Vacant. The M16 is nearly useless in there, but I notice a lot of people using SMGs in that map. Automatic weapons are the only way to go there.
 
Leveling up equipment is sooo addictive. I just got my blue tiger camo with the m16.

Now I guess I'll have to see how the other guns handle. :lol

I like the music that plays when you get a new challenge beat and unlock something. Great stuff.
 
What get's my ire is the amount of fucking deaf mutes that I play with. That shit is getting fucking annoying. Or the people that let you walk right into an ambush even though their the ones who are watching that particular spot.

Or the moron who instead of shooting a person in plain sight decides he's going to knife it, only to have the enemy's buddy appear right in from and kill him, effectively giving them a free point.

Update 2:
Hey Everyone --

Some of you have been receiving the "Downloading Game Settings" message for extended periods of time (more than 30 seconds). This is caused by Packet Loss, which means a file / data was lost as the server was sending it to the client.

A quick fix for this is:

- Backing out to the Dashboard and restarting the Beta.

You may receive it more than once, but don't worry, just back out again and restart.

However, I wanted to let you all know that we are aware of the issue, it has already been fixed in the main game, and we are working on getting an update out which will fix this in the beta as well.

Thanks for all the feedback, and we'll have an update out to you as soon as we can.

I usually try to help new players and remind people of certain stuff. I'm always saying stuff like "Remember guys, you can cook grenades!" or "Left on dpad to use your inventory!" :lol
 
After multiple exiting and closing, download game settings isn't popping up anymore so if anyone wants to join me, GT: Tokubetsu.
