As far as impressions, I'm liking the game but still getting used to pulling the left trigger to use the sights. It was really easy to level up and I'm now working on the challenges. I ran into a few games of crazy lag but it seems that eventually the lags stops or the game will kick the players out of the lobby. Hopefully you can unlock extra frag grenades at some point b/c having only one just sucks. Another thing that sucks is the autofire-ish sniper rifle, it's way too overpowered. Other than that, I'm enjoying the beta and I'm sure the final product will be smoother

yeah they do.

So much i'm like 5 seconds from getting the PS3 version. Less people = less chance of jackassery.

Indeed.

Just reminded me, one of the great things the Halo 3 multiplayer has is the ability to bring up the score menu and click a button to mute. No doubt I'll be using that a lot.

idk why infinity ward doesn't completely rip off bungie with alot of stuff. there's only 1 page of statistics... why? why doesn't it tell me how many kills i have from knife, c4, and headshots? or my accuracy for the match? and why can't you look around when you're spectating instead of just watching your teammate's back from like a foot away?

you've already got the halo 2 lobby/matchmaking system pretty much, so why not just copy everything else?

i'd only get the ps3 version if the socom community will be playing the game. if not, 360 is where the competition will be.

but from what ive seen so far, the ps3 has been a pretty mature community but its soon to be infected once its user base increases.
 
I got accepted into the beta last night. I just can't download the game. I keep getting the same error. D:

Make sure you're downloading it while logged in to an Xbox Live Gold account.
 
Thats because the M4 seems to be the best all around rifle in the Beta. Accurate, powerful, you can spray or pulse fire it and it stays on target. My favorite.

The Skorpion deserves more love. Vacant is perfect for that little gun.

The LMGs seem to be the too weak, IMO.

Well i played around 6 hours yesterday and leveld all the way up to lvl 11 just to get it and some of these perks.
 
Anyone else having trouble getting into a team deathmatch? It lets me join the rest of the game modes except this one. What's up with that?

I doubt anything will happen man. I'm just saying A LOT of people in beta got in this way. Every other game you hear people talking about it.

Definitely. It's my standard weapon of choice. The AK-47 is a close second; man, that thing has quite a bit of power to it!

Bioshock is done. Warhawk's server situation is fucked up. Sure wish there were a great game out there I could play which is coincidentally being played by all the people on my friends list.

If only...
 
I've tried almost all the weapons and I keep going back to the m16. I guess it just fits my style. Also, I notice that a lot of people will say [X] weapon is overpowered and many times it's a different weapon. Goes to show how balanced the game is.

Im not a fan of the Ak myself. Feels like it doesnt have alot of range for the bigger maps
 
I tied the M4 but just can't get the feel for it like I can with the M16 and red dot. The MP5 is fine but I hate it except on Vacant.

I have yet to experience any groups of loudmouthed idiots, maybe I'm just lucky? There have been a few distracting (funny) conversations though :)

btw gamertag is TzeentchNET if anyone has a free slot :)

its so hit and miss, I had it no matter what, left it for a while and then played some puzzle fighter came back and it was fine.
 
AK is super crap. It's ultra useless with a silencer. Power difference (if there is one) is a non factor. I kill faster with a skorpion EVEN at mid range.

You want a powerful, accurate weapon? RPD + Grip is kang. m4 is annoyingly good too. I don't know how people do it. They can waste me (non headshot) in 2 or 3 hits. When I use it (with stopping power) it's taking me 3 to 5 w/out a doubt.

I dunno but using my power ups The (MP5?) is really overpowered.

*edit* also ever since battlefield 2 I have preferred semi's over automatics. More accurate, less kickback, and it tears people who spray and pray apart.
 
Game may be fairly balanced....if sniper rifles aren't included. I still say sniper rifles got screwed. Theres that weird hit detection bug with the "auto snipers". Maps aren't big enough. Single shot kills aren't guaranteed. Sniper Scope sway vs. stable Assault Rifle scopes. The scope shakes while receiving damage. I mean it all makes sense from a design (and consistency) point of view..but it's murder on the balance front.

and i don't think the MP5 is unbalanced if you accept that you aren't going to beat one (unless you have a shotgun) off the trigger close range.
