There's a new, short Q&A up over at CharlieOscarDelta.com. Talks a bit about story and game development.
The way this beta was setup has really added to the international hatred between countries on Live. It is sad to be honest.
Really makes me wonder if they could have handled this a lot better like making the beta world wide from day one, and then incorporating a region or ping filter (Though a region filter might be against the Live guidelines.)
When all is said and done people just want to play games that are as lag free as possible, the sooner the live team / devs understand this the better the experience will be for ALL Xbox Live Gold users.
The netcode in this beta is not up to the H3 one, which seems better suited for cross continent play. So, when people do get put into a laggy matches the game for them does deteriorate greatly.

Has there been any clarification as to what exactly the clan tag does? Is it just a short text modifier that goes with your name, (e.g. Cornballer [GAF]) or does it serve any additional purposes?

That was one of my favorite weapons in BF2. Incredible range and stopping power, very small magazine. Almost like a sniper/assault hybrid.

This sucks so bad I got that email last night about the level cap increase and I was like WTF, did I get in beta and miss it??? Sure as sh*t the email was in my spam folder...so I frantically download it, get ready to play it, but it keeps crapping out on me (more specifically everytime I try to run COD4 it disconnects me from live).
I tried other multiplayer Live games they all seem to work fine, checked the router settings, everything looks normal, reset everything, tried connecting directly to my cable modem , etc, etc and it still won't let me connect *cry*...

Yeah that's what is really odd my connection test always passes, NAT is open everything is set the way it always has been, it's just acting weird. I tried logging onto Shadowrun and had no problems it found 30 or so games contacted them all no problems. I load back into COD 4 it says it's searching for games, then trying to join game, then it puts me in a lobby but no one else is there. After which it says waiting for 6 more players, then it hangs and tells me I'm disconnected from Live. I must have tried for over 2 hours now
It's so frustrating to have a game I was looking forward to, and now it just sits there taunting me....come on try and connect again you know you want to...come on play me, everyone else is.... DAMN YOU COD4 Damn you to hell

So I've been here bitching about not getting a token.
I added Infinity Ward to my address book, as instructed.
No email in the Inbox. Ever. Sigh.
Hourly I do a search in Yahoo Mail for 'infinityward'. No dice. Turns out, the Spam folder isn't searched by default. Who knew?
Just in case, I start sorting my Spam folder on the 'From' field, looking for anything that starts with 'infinityward'. No dice.
I get the 'max level increase' email from them IN MY INBOX. What?!? 'cod4beta@infinityward.com'? You've got to be shittin' me...
Sort Spam folder again. Well, well...what do you know...I got my invite on Sept. 1.
Yes. I'm retarded. And soon to be cannon fodder / a bullseye for all of you vets...
