Yeah, I've been drinking green tea for a long time now. As you said, it's cheap, it also tastes great, and you do get to feel better.
I've been struggling with quitting smoking, and green tea is one of the habits I picked up while trying to quit. Obviously, if you smoke, the health benefits of green tea will probably be cancelled out by the toxins in tobacco.
If you can't get used to the green tea taste, drink Rooibos (sp?) tea. It has no caffeine IIRC, and it has just as much antioxidant power, if not more.
