I wasn't expecting much this year. Going to be happy with 8 wins. I've also seen this before, in 2003 we lost our first game to Marshall then won the 2003 Big XII Championship. Hopefully, this puts their ass into gear. We will see this week vs Louisiana-Lafayette.

ESPN put up a youtube clip of the Cal fake field goal from Saturday:
Placekicker Vincenzo D’Amato said the Bears had only once or twice practiced the fake field goal he turned into a 10-yard touchdown pass to holder Jackson Bouza.

And when they did practice it?

“We used a volleyball,” he said.

When the play came from the sideline Saturday to fake the field goal, D’Amato said he was totally surprised. “It happened so fast I kind of don’t remember what happened,” he said.

Rutgers, Cinci and UCF will all challenge. UL isn't going to walk all over the conference like many keep expecting. For starters, the UCF QB is on every watch list Bridgewater is on minus the Heisman discussion.

And fuck USF. What a great game that was.

In talking about who is taking on Clowney this week on his offensive line, OL coach (and former Bama player) Will Friend said:

Kenarious Gates’ experience in trying to block Jadeveon Clowney – emphasis on trying – was cited by several Georgia coaches on Tuesday, in hoping that the senior will be best equipped to stop South Carolina’s all-world defensive end.

But Will Friend, Georgia’s offensive line coach, didn’t appear so sure.

“Ah, I don’t know,” Friend said. “I mean he didn’t block him last year.”

Does anyone here listen to SiriusXM College Sports?

I got a free SiriusXM trial when I bought a new car a couple of years ago, which has long since expired. But I'm tempted to give it another shot because I remember really enjoying their college sports channel.
