Akron was able to call their next plays during the time it was stopped for review. If the lack of a 1st down had been called correctly the first time, they would have had to burn their last timeout. So I think it balances out.

So I was looking at Texas A&M schedule and out of their 13 games, 8 of them are home. How does this even make sense?

Realistically they have maybe 3-4 hard games. How can people actually like college football? Unless you go to the school, or are close to someone who did/is going, how can you be so into some of these shitty lopsided games?

Why would they?

Because 8 seconds ticked off between when they set the ball and decided to challenge and subsequently reverse the call? It's possible that Akron may have, you know, used that time.
