I was going to say, those are ridiculously gaudy, but then again, it's Texas, so it all makes sense.

I wonder if it's a sign of things to come. Texas is pretty behind in the facilities arms race compared to most of the other big programs out there.

Is watching pornography on your locker tv an NCAA violation? I hope those college boys don't have access to the tv remote

Hopefully they're not smart TVs.

I'm sure it is. You see how it's going with Clemson making slides and stuff for recruits. The money isn't slowing down (yet) so the spending will continue to escalate.

Both of our programs are behind in the spending race. I know ours has been and is spending a lot on the program in next year or two. New locker rooms at the stadium with a recruiting lounge, new bigger weight room and player lounges and all kinds of stuff after that.

Between the new IPF and the stuff at the stadium that's $100 million. Then next year will be weight room and whatever else they do for recruits at the athletic facility. I'm assuming another $30-50 million.

Richard Spencer speaking at Auburn University: 'SEC football is sick. Black athletes not part of white identity. I would ban football.'

A bunch of otherwise racist dudes in Alabama like "hold on one second, feller."

According to the Macon Telegraph’s Jason Butt, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart announced a new media policy Tuesday afternoon, stipulating that injuries, both “non-contact jerseys [sic] and injuries seen in front of media,” cannot be reported until the 41-year-old coach signs off.

Pretty standard stuff. Petersen won't talk about anything that isn't season-ending and there are limits to what the press can report from practice.

Actually he only did this cause he didn't get his 90 day clause on info requests that he wanted.

He did get that. This doesn't fall under that because the press is observing it during the few minutes they get to see.

And according to the AJC, discussions are ongoing with the athletic department on a compromise. This arose because they reported something regarding Deangelo Gibbs being helped off the field with an unknown injury and then had a conference with Kirby asking about the injury. He was upset because his mom hadn't been told about the injury and had to learn about it through the press and potentially be worried over what may or may not have been a real injury.

Kentucky has rings for Louisville win... and bowl loss

On one side, the rings memorialize UK’s upset 41-38 win over rival Louisville in the Governor’s Cup. Louisville was ranked No. 11 in the country and the win snapped a five-game losing streak in the series, so it was a big deal for Mark Stoops’ program.

The other side of the ring, well, we’ll let you see for yourself.

Yup, that’s a logo for the 2016 Taxslayer Bowl — UK’s first postseason appearance since 2010 and the first bowl berth of the Stoops era. But there’s a problem. Kentucky lost that game to Georgia Tech, 33-18. The Wildcats never even had a lead in that game. Is that really something you’d want to commemorate on a ring?

Golden Domers are chickenshit!!
Kind of don't have a problem with this. They got screwed.
I'm with you on that, but should have probably gone with 10-2, rather than claiming the win. But, really, who gives a fuck? Let the kids have their rings.

Could be worse. Could have been like Kentucky who gave their players bowl rings for a game they lost.

Same.

Jonathan Allen was being interviewed on Finebaum a few days ago and he said the first thing he's building when he gets paid (lol like Bama didn't pay him right) is a nice gaming PC.

He said he's spending $7800 on it so I'm guessing that's a couple 1080ti's and a couple 4k monitors. That would be great.

Haha that's funny. Reminds me of Chris Conley making a Star Wars fan film while on the team at UGA. Not something you think most football players would be into. Most of them are pretty casual gamers like your average college students.

Tomlinson too, IIRC? I think Allen said he's the one that knows how to build PCs and stuff.

Yeah, they said they played Outlast together once and spent the whole night screaming lmao you'd be surprised who's into what.

Gundy calling for the NCAA to regulate how many analysts teams have is lol
