College Football Week 3 - Badgers? We don't need no stinkin' Badgers!

Yeah, FGs haven't really been a big deal in our games with Stanford

I'm not saying fans won't/shouldn't be concerned. I'm saying your coach cares less than you do. How many years of horrible, walk-on kickers, did we have to endure at Florida while Spurrier was the OBC... it certainly cost us games. But he didn't like them, didn't use them when he should have, and he certainly couldn't recruit any good ones because of it.

Edit: I should add that I have a huge bias against Lane Kiffin. I just don't like that guy.
Ironically, I didn't think he should have been fired from the Raider HC job. That team was improving.

We have a good one now, although he has been somewhat unreliable on mid-range kicks in the past.

Florida State always seems to do pretty well with kickers. I remember Cismesia kicking a field goal for 60 yards just before half. I laughed when they were setting up, thinking no way. But he hit it. That is a long kick.

I would be worried to not have a kicker. For a team like Florida they are essential, for a team like USC there will be a few games where he is likely to make the difference, although less so in your next stretch of games.

Oh dear. Why are we moving up the polls? The pollsters are sending us to die. We're really not that good this year, and I love my team. PEACE.

Oh, I LOVE Caleb Sturgis. Who's replacing him next year?

I fucking hate UGA, but Jarvis Jones should be getting more love. The dude is scary good.

The SEC has never lost a non-conference game, so I'm gonna say them.

Vanderbilt says you are wrong.

He won't win it. He won't even make it to New York.

I do think its kind of weird that there is no serious candidate for the South East this year. I guess with Alabama not having a dominant running back there's really no one to talk about down there.

Cismesia was a BEAST level kicker. Probably the biggest kicker on any NCAA team ever. I remember that 60 yard kick at UF. Typical late-era Bowden. Down by a zillion points, his plan is to catch up by kicking a shit load of field goals. Ugh. He played it way to safe in his last few years.

Also, FSU does well with kickers because we have learned the hard way, four times, that you need a good fucking kicker.

Auburn also raises its hand.

How is the NCAA investigtion going against them anyhow?

Is its Harvard/CalTech level yet?

Not good timing for the BEAST I guess for bowl positioning. Doubt this affects the TV deal much.

But congrats on the ACC for adding another BB school.

Smart move, IMO.

I'd much rather play Maryland, Syracuse and Pitt than Michigan, MSU and Purdue.

They'll still get major conference cred, but against easier competition.

Probably will. No one watches big east for football and they just lost what is probably one of if not most watched basketball teams.

I really don't think ND brand BB is a massive TV draw. Maybe I'm mistaken, of course. This hurts the BE more on the bowl side if anything. BE is a very deep BB league overall. If this was UConn or UL in relation to BB, I'd be wanting to jump off a bridge right along with the UL/Rutgers fans now.

Notre Dame?! Fuck that. Plz take us away Big 12.

Looks like the ACC jacked up exit fee to $50 mil also.

Also: Thank goodness the Big 12 dodged this ND bullet.

Duke should join the B1G.....except for Bball

I hate John Swofford. I didn't think he was dumb enough to take ND without football, but he did......

Swofford appears to have 2 goals in life:

1) Grudgefuck the Big East
2) BASKETBALLBASKETBALLBASKETBALL

Apparently ND will be required to play each ACC team once every 3 years, which makes sense given that there are 14 other teams in the league.

Pfff maybe if your university actually had the word "The" before it you could.

Pretentious "The" only sounds right on schools that are "University of . . . " because that at least kind of makes sense. There aren't a bunch of other Ohio States running around.

I think Lousiville's gone to the 12, but I am contemplating driving to the Palisades and jumping off the Hudson right now.

It hurts the Big East bad, because of the TV deal, the Big East was going to use ND as the bridge to NBC ... and that's gone now.

I think everyone hates him. The only guy worse would be Goodell.

I'd rather be in the Big 12 than ACC and Swofford's folly and protecting of one outlaw university.
