Well, Oregon should beat us more soundly than USC.

The first half will be a bloodbath, but Chip will call off the hounds in the second half. He doesn't really run up scores like the Stoopses of the world.

Got tickets to the game vs. the Beavs this weekend and will also be tailgating! I hope we pull off the upset, or I'll have to listen to my Beaver friends yak about it until we start slaughtering them in basketball.

What's the reasoning behind the 5:30 OSU/PSU start time?

I'm too lazy to find out myself.

No idea, it was 6pm since middle of summer, dunno why it was 6 pm though. Then last week it got moved to 5:30.

Hopefully my posting goes back up next weekend, but who knows since im moving thursday. Past week I was at the game all day, then pumpkin show with the gf, and today at cedar point. Needless to say, I need a weekend from this weekend.

Louisville games are too close. 2nd halves have been weak. I know Cincinnati lost, but their other games have been decisive at least. We'll see what happens...if I don't die of a heart attack before the game ends.

Cardiac Cards..hehe.

As for Cincy, their VT game was a nailbiter...

and our 2nd halves definitely need work, especially at home.

This is going to be an interesting week.

Florida will lose to Georgia, sending Florida to 10, and Georgia to 9.
Texas Tech will beat Kansas State, sending Kansas to 12 and TT to 11
Oklahoma will lose to ND, sending them to 16.
And Alabama will lose to MS, sending them to 6th, and MS to 4th.

Next weeks ranking:

1 Oregon 8-0
2 Notre Dame 8-0
3 Oregon State 7-0
4 Mississippi State 8-0
5 LSU 7-1
6 Alabama 7-1
7 Kansas State 7-1
8 USC 7-1
9 Georgia 7-1
10 Florida 7-1
11 Texas Tech 7-1
12 Rutgers 8-0
13 Louisville 8-0
14 Florida State 8-1
15 South Carolina 7-2
16 Oklahoma 6-2

I like it. ND won't slide that far though because it's ND.

EDIT - you said ND was going to win I misread, in that case ND will be #1 because it's ND.

Margin of Victory. We are doing a +/-3 system, so as long as you're within + or - 3 of the final with you guess then you get the points.

It is, but because you get +/- 3, there is no benefit to a MoV lower than 4.

ah, ok. cheers for the advice. Can I change my tips to the following:

At this point I'm hoping the Gators win out until they come to Tallahassee so FSU can have the privilege of knocking them out of MNC contention. It'll hearken back to the days when the game in November between the two schools mattered and many times determined if one of them would play in the national championship. Granted, even if UF wins that game they should get demolished by Alabama in the SEC championship.

You should add this gif to the OP. UT swordfight guy can't be the only one this week.

I almost posted on gaming side.

I would love my Dawgs to beat Bama but I'm a realist.

Still on any given Saturday who knows...

Another Georgia fan? Welcome.

Fuck the Gatas. Not that anyone missed me, but I'll try to be more active this week. Been a busy week.

Go Gators! Dawgs are Gator Bait this weekend, no way they beat Florida.

Shit guys.

I just realized Greg Schiano has a coaching tree. :(

Darrell Hazell (Kent State Coach), Kyle Flood (Rutgers coach), and Mario Cristobal (FIU coach) all had extensive tenures at Rutgers.

Darrell is a good guy, he coached here at Ohio State for 6 years until he got the KSU job. He is doing a fine job at Kent St as well. Rutgers on upset alert this weeked?!?! I'm going with no, but I think Ohio is when they play Miami.

I had to click this thread twice to see what the guy was doing. Maybe I was too tired last night -- I thought he was just cheering initially, looool.

Mississippi State has 0 good wins. This is a team that'd be ranked 21st at best (and probably more like 24th) if they weren't in the SEC. I expect Alabama to beat them by at least 28-35 points.

Weekly Texas Tech defense ranking post: Through 7 games, we're #8 in the country in yards allowed. Still feels like I'm dreaming.

I know last week we were the only team in the country with both a top 10 defense and offense but I haven't checked that this week yet.

I don't think I got my picks in last week with the birth of my son. Ah well, that makes two weeks missed, but I'm still in it for fun.

Tons of hard picks this week.

Braxton is listed as the starter on this weeks depth chart vs penn st. Take from that what you will.

But vegas also opened us at 3 point favorties to 2.5 underdogs in the past few hours, so maybe they know something. /shrugs.

edit: dunno if they showed this after the game on tv, but Urbz went nuts after the game before singing the alma mater:

Most thought that Cristobal was going to be your replacement coach since he had done well at FIU, though not this year.

I bet Cristobal is feeling like an idiot for turning down bigger jobs when he had a chance last season. And I bet Rutgers is breathing a sigh of relief.

Anyway, probably biggest game between UCF and Marshall this week since the series started 10 years ago. This game will have major CUSA East Division implications and both teams are playing pretty well. The last three games have bee weird in that the 2009 game at UCF was played in somewhat of a fog, the 2010 game in Huntington saw a cancelled halftime and major weather delays and the 2011 game in Orlando saw non-stop monsoon type rain.

30% chance for rain in Huntington at this time.....
