College Students - What is your major?

Right now i'm going to get started on my pre-pharmacy degree. I work at Walgreens and really like working back in the pharmacy, and didn't like the current college I was going to. Not to mention Walgreens is going to PAY for my education and give me a car when I graduate. Plus, the pay is really high.

Civil Engineering. I recently got a paid internship working for the city of LA. :D

International Business, but I used to be Computer Science.

Same as you samus4ever, except I'm in my third year of pre-pharmacy. Will be applying to pharmacy school soon.

PS Rite-Aid, Walgreens, and all other big chain pharmacies suck :p

Computer Science.

And thanks for this topic! You just reminded me to check my college email to see if my professor emailed me back yet.

I'm on track for Computer Science, but I may sway towards Interactive Arts or Business depending on how this year goes.

I'm getting two Bachelor degrees to begin with, in film and telecommunications.

right out of high school i was going for IT but i changed to marketing after a year then dropped out. im going back next spring and i was REALLY set on marketing, i was really interested in it but now i feel that interest fading. im starting to think journalism....

I DONT FUCKING KNOW. im the absolute worst at making decisions.

Logistics and Transportation, well at least it will be when I get it switched from my current major of Marketing Management.

what kind of curriculum is pre-pharmacy? pretty similar to pre-med?

i'm a psych premed major now

pre-pharmacy is similar but has additional requirements. Most schools that I might apply to have the usual pre-med requirements plus specific classes like physiology, microbiology, speech, and a ton of social sci classes.

You can complete pre-pharm in 2 years if you're good, but most take 3. Only need 70 hrs for most pharmacy schools. Basic biology, microbio, organic chem 1 and 2, physics 1 and 2, calc, etc.

I'm starting my last year as an undergrad and should have BAs in Math/Computer Science and Japanese Studies when Spring rolls around.

not that i know of. you'll have to do some in depth research on your own. i wish the senior year of high school was used to better explain the various majors to graduates. most kids have no clue entering freshmen year college as to what they are actually getting into.
