I'll probably be picking up x-factor #3 and harley quinn #0 this weekend. Might try to get the batman and two face issues if they have them.

I'm going to be disappointed if Justice League #28 was set-up for characters to be thrown into a massive weekly book by random writers...i'm going to re-open my mind and wait to hate things until they are officially officially announced. Passing on Batman Eternal, probably passing on Future's End, we'll see about the mystery one.

Fuck, I wrote out a few paragraphs defending the move but you know what? If you want to follow the DC Universe, buy 3 weeklies. That's 12 fucking books a month. How the fuck is that supposed to "re-energize your brand". It's kinda scaring me the fuck away.
that's more than 1/3rd of what i want to buy monthly, how is that a reasonable proposition? I know no one is forcing me to buy things and i'll probably get none of them, but it does feel like i'm being pushed out of a section of comic reading, like in poker when someone goes all-in. Am i supposed to match or fold?

It's really good. First ten issues in particular are great. I feel it's lost its' way for a bit but it's been getting better again since the Weapon Minus arc started.

Yeah, if these rumours are true- big if, right?- it would feel like an ultimatum. "Ok Fanboy, pick a side. Either you're with DC or the other guys. No more flirting with both sides." And as someone who flirts with DC, nothing would make me less interested in their brand then multiple central weekly series.

I just picked up the first two hardcovers from cheapgraphicnovels.com, they were...cheap. The 3rd volume comes out mid-March or early April I think?

I like it. Gillen has a lot of great ideas, but the art could be better. Not sure about the annual, as it builds off of the digital-only Infinite Comic which I have yet to catch up on.

Yo Iron Man Fatal Frontier basically rules it's Future Comics Superstar Al Ewing riffing on Cool Ideas Man Kieron Gillen's ideas on THE MOON. And then it gets wonderful. You should read it.

I was on-board with all of the cover-related hijinx that DC has gotten into with the new 52 but the introduction of so many weeklies is fucking gross. The amount of bad artists and bad writers that are going to be pumping these damn books out is going to be absurd. Every other week Lobdell and Brett Booth comics.

It got about 23 more issues than I thought it would, and I think it's got the longest streak of issues by one creative team of the new 52 save for Batman, someone back me up with numbers on this.
Anyways, that's four bucks saved a month. Can't be that bad a piece of news.

I can't believe they are ignorant enough to believe that can sustain a weekly. I love Earth 2, I wish it had dour books but not a fuxking weekly. I mean I want to propel Blue Devil to be a household name. Doesn't mean it will happen though.

Man, this news is awful. I'm mostly a DC reader, but Marvel keeps looking better and better to me. Can't wait to get my Thor: God Butcher HC from IST. Probably get into Daredevil and Guardians as well. I already read more Image than DC, mostly because of the quality but also because of how terrible DC is at getting out trades.
I've only been into comics for a year or so. Can anyone tell me how Didio got his job? He seems universally hated. I've never heard a good thing about him.
