I liked the JMS Superman story, it wasn't my favorite but it was enjoyable.

I just read Volume 2 and it was pretty good. I like a Superman who is unsure of himself and still figuring out his limitations, it makes for some good stories.

Also, I like the focus on Clark. I usually like the drama of the secret identities more than the super heroics.

Visually, I hope Wally just has a darker skin, but keep the same hair color and style. That'd at least keep him somewhat visually recognizable.

I fear he'll just have a completely different design and character though, making the name reuse entirely pointless.

Earth One came out at an awkward time since it was telling origin stories in a new universe at the same time the New 52 was skipping origin stories in a new universe. Johns' Batman was okay but i didn't like JMS' Superman vol 1 and 2, probably not going to continue with supes but i'd pick up another batman volume.

Even as a kid, I could never get into that show. I feel like I'm the only kid who didn't care about the X-Men.

Oh man, I used to watch that all the time when I was a kid. I remember when Pizza Hut was giving away the VHS tapes. XD

X-Men Evolution and the Wolverine & the X-Men animated series both ended up being better, though.

My Legion Volume 3 package got here today and the seller included a handful of random, extra comics, including several issues of "Sovereign Seven". I had no flippin' idea what that shit was and had to look it up, especially since one of the issues had Power Girl and the other had Saturn Girl.

A Chris Claremont creator owned series set in the DCU? Lolwut?

I love that there are little random gems of history like this that I had no idea existed.

One of the Power Girl issues has such terrible 90's art. PeeGee almost looks like she could be in a hair metal band, it's great.

Apparently when the series ended it pulled a massive Deus ex machina and said it was all just stories from a comic book.

The best part? It apparently crossed over with Pinky and the Brain?

This thread covers all comic books and there is plenty of non-cape related talk. But as far as I know there are only occasional non-cape focused threads devoted to a single series that usually last a handful of pages.
