I don't think its the extreme art change. Its the writing plain and simple. Stewart doesn't seem to know who Barbara Gordan is, what her life experiences would make her do, or her personality as has been established in the last 3+ years. He just came in and is writing a whole entirely new character that doesn't mesh with any version of Barbara Gordan we've seen before. To be perfectly honest, its a shitty version at that. The shit she pulled in the last issue was amateurish, irresponsible, and completely, 10000% out of character, and made NO SENSE based on the last 30 + issues. This isn't Babs, I don't know who this character is, but its not Babs. I'm all for keeping Tarr on the book but get Stewart the hell out of there. Right now, for me, the writing is making it run head long into Worst Batgirl run ever.
Would it fit better if you replaced Babs with Stef? In your opinion.

Do you have any kind of floppy backlog? You seem to hammer through your floppies each week. I've become a digital horder. Months of issues backed up. But it makes it easier to see what books I really care about.

My problem with Gails run was it was just completely boring for the most part. The art was boring, the constant internal monologues were boring, and most of the story arcs were boring.
She seemed so depressed, so hopeless with what she was doing, she might as well been back in the wheelchair. I can appreciate what Stewart has done with her. She finally has said, "I have a second chance, I'm going to have some fun".

If last issue was an issue of The Spoiler and instead of Babs it was Stef, it would have made sense and probably would have worked.
What he's writing isn't Babs Batgirl.
I disagree with like all of this. While Gail's run was slower than some other comics, I never felt bored with it. Plus Barbara was dealing with some heavy shit in the comics, so the sense of sadness, and depression made sense. I mean she was under the thinking that she killed her brother. A damn near Joker level psychopath. Who worked with the Joker at one point in the run to kidnap their mother. I mean that's not shit you're going to be happy go lucky about.
Stewart took a character who was a cops daughter, with a genius level intellect, and a pretty damn good vigilante, and turned her into an almost single digit ig moron, whose running around like its the first day she put on a costume. Who gets tongue tied and confused when a cop doesn't like Batgirl.
I can't appreciate him dumbing her down, and turning her into a joke of a vigilante.

I thought that issue was absolutely fine. Even what you posted ain't that bad to me--sure the face is too rounded and the expressions are off, but it's serviceable. Dude ain't Mikel Janin, but he also ain't Khoi Pham.
Think the Grayon Annual was one of my favorite annuals in a little while.

Yup, babs fucked up some bit in the new run but I still believe that's the point, she intentionally loosening up and hasn't found the balance yet.

Its beyond fucking up, and its not loosening up. She's acting like she dropped 120 points from her IQ, and like she's never done the whole vigilante thing before, or like her Father hasn't been a cop her entire life. Its completely out of character for her life experiences. He's writing a completely different character and just drawing Batgirl ontop of it.
Oh course it won't stick but some of those were holy shit moments and the end was just awesome.
In Eternal they show that Stef is new to being a hero and that she is wreckless. Shit would slot in perfectly for Babs. It's nuts.

He could totally write a Stef book with lafuente on art. (for the record I also love Babs Tarr). Lafuente said he is working on a DC book that isn't announced yet. Really hoping it is spoiler.
