In All-New X-Men (Hopeless), Scott got kidnapped by Toad during a fight with Blob, dragged into the catacombs underneath Paris, savagely beaten (Toad was drunk), and then was about to be murdered hard before just blowing a hole in the street.

Are Io or Kairi performing in NXT yet? I saw their last match in Osaka before they moved to America. They're amazing women. Very skilled and funny.

Recently got JL #24 and I thought that was great. It was done by a different creative team and a tie in to Aquaman. First JL I got since JLvsSQ. Hopely the new writer is good. I hate annoying the JL book.

She is so fun. Io is the real star to me, though. She's so athletic and agile. She has the most insane moves. Kairi's Elbow Drop is so good, though. I'm seeing some New Japan Pro match this month. I don't really know wrestling, but my friends are into it, and it's fun to see live shows. I've seen quite a few small ones, but this will be the most professional one I've seen.

I don't really like that arc, but the thing with Selina's friend isn't shoehorned. A lot of your problems are actually setup for the next two issues.

Can someone explain why Batman would not say anything else besides "I'm gonna break your back"? It was so... boring? I get that it was a callback to Bane doing it to him, but why did he refuse to say any other statements for so long?

Leading theory is that it's Value Buyers. You could buy a Superman book and a Batman book and a Wonder Woman book, and so on, OR you could just buy JL and get your favorite heroes for one low price!

That the book is GARBAGE does not apparently factor in to this.

Just read Dark Days The Forge and Casting and I have no idea what's going on. Is there some site that explains wtf I just read?

I have read all of the New 52 Batman run and I was still confused. Maybe I just forgot stuff.

And there goes any interest I would have in a JSA book. Ultimates was something I enjoyed, but I don't want to see the JSA turn into that.
The one upside to that is that perhaps JL would be put into more competent hands (ie almost any other person working in comics) if Hitch moves on to something else.

Wasn't there effectively a time-skip for Secret Empire so we didn't actually get to see Steve come to have total control? Or am I wrong?

If so that feels like it would remove have the "fun" of the event.

We see him gain control, but then they skip ahead to a world that has been under Hydra's control for a while.

It will probably be a year or so I would imagine.

Amazon has Marvel omnis up to March 20, 2018, so it's at least after that.

Issue 0 and the FCBD issue is when he takes power and 1 is where the timeskip happens.

Again, Spencer wussed the fuck out.

Jack Kirby museum sold me an awesome Kirby HC way cheap too, man they're cool

Family emergencies iirc. Just remembered that he did do SDCC the following year (last year) and he had a good spotlight panel. Did see Chip at both other appearances, though, so that was cool!

Hickman and Remender did this extremely well in Fantastic Four/FF and Uncanny X-Force and Uncanny Avengers. Some of the arcs felt bigger and better than the crossover events at the time.

What are the chances he makes a Lobdell or Humphries-esque recovery and actually writes something that is not dogshit?

What about JLA ? Bad too ?

On another topic I really would like to have the will to only catch up with the big DC pillars, but so far Nightwing has been quite enjoyable, shit.
I'm two issues in Night of the Monstermen and it has been pretty great so far. Not perfect mind you, a little too much action of the boring type and severely lacking on the mystery front, but the first issue was so good to look at and a light horror storyline is very cool by me.

The downfall of Carol Danvers is something that really pisses me off. She was pretty much my favourite Avenger in her Warbird days. Now she's just some sad sack screw up. I know they'll start bigging her up again before her film comes out but this a fucking travesty.

I'm hoping if the film takes off she'll be the new leader of the Avengers after Infinity War and Steve and Tony peace out for whatever reason.

Good to hear.

Reading back on what happened in Secret Empire on the last page, lol. What the hell happened there. I stopped reading after they were held captive by Pymtron and it was another shit on Hank fest. Its not wrong, but we've visited that several times.
