Is Kirkman's Invincible any good or does the quality drop off a cliff at some point?
No, I have the complete Clone Saga in my shelf ready to read, but I couldnt motivate myself into 2000 pages of the as worst considered Spider-Man arc yet... Maybe somedayHow much had you read with Ben Reilly before it?
I think it was more negativ recived in this thread but I always liked Slotts events before. Is this the common opinion? My friend that's up to date liked it. I know nothing.
So I want to start Daredevil and bought Soule's first volume; its been pretty cool. Great art. Does the series keep up in quality?
Re-reading Hickman's Avengers, stil have trouble grasping the scope of it.
It's so tragic how he got treated by writers post-DnA and the movie. So, I finally got around to reading Annihilation. I felt like it got better as it went along; Drax was so utterly pointless for the first 1/3 of it I just didn't get him at all.
But the key thing I took away from Annihilation was that I would totally buy a Ronan The Accuser book where he is basically Space Judge Dredd. I would buy the *hell* out of that book.

BC rumor: Marvel Comics Someone From The Top, Up For The Chop?
That article mentions Perlmutter as someone very unlikely to be fired. I thought people believed he was no longer working for Marvel. Do we know for sure either way?
Read on, friend.I'm catching up on Kings batman and... He better explain how theselegit made me angry.murders aren't on Selinas hands. So fucked.
Did he not just get a new title and that was it
He just got a new title sadly. Not sure. I thought there was a hollywood reporter article (normally a reputable source) that said he left months ago, but no one picked up on it for a while.
Also, are you on a break from Olivia Wilde? I don't see an avatar.
Lets do a BookclubThe Clone saga seems so daunting to read; I still want to though.

Art by Jon Davis-Hunt, colour by Steve Buccellato - first page from THE WILD STORM #7, on sale September 20. (We have a skip month.) Variant cover by my old comrade Bryan Hitch. Bryan and I talk once a week or so, these days, some seventeen years after finishing our year originating THE AUTHORITY.
I'm running a little slow right now, wrapping issue 9, with issues 10 - 12 existing as piles of notes in the notebook and Notepad text files. Jon is somewhere in issue 8 and probably cursing my name over the unnecessarily long psychedelic scenes full of pointless odd details that amused the shit out of me when I was writing it.
Bryan Hill's well into MICHAEL CRAY, Steve is finishing up issue one and killing it. All is well at the Wildstorm office.
Colleen Doran is back working on FINALITY, our comics series for LINE Webtoon, after taking some time off to kick the arse of some health issues. As you can see, she's returned to full powers. Moreover, I am grateful that my friend is feeling better. Look for more news about FINALITY towards the end of the year -- we're getting as much as possible in the can before we go live. And, no, I shouldn't be leaking panels from it.
Colleen has a Patreon that you may want to investigate.
LONDON: Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie are speaking at this fancy expensive event in October. "The worlds first conference dedicated entirely to episodic storytelling."
Jamie wants you to know that Kieron emailed me to ask me to plug this
(he didn't)

Honestly, I gave up on the X-Men for the time being. I did read Old Man Logan for a bit because of the amazing art of Sorentino (like, damn, what amazing stuff) but dropped the book with the new current team.I sometimes want to be caught up in what's going on for the Xmen, but then I realize it'd cost me 16 bucks just to read two books each month that I probably wouldn't even like that much. I'll just read astonishing and wait for unlimited for the rest like a responsible adult... which I am not.
I should get Marvel UnlimitedLets do a Bookclub
Has to be Brevoort and/or Alonso, both pushed for HYDRA Cap and now it's blowing up in their faces and Legacy is already getting shit on.
Or Gabriel.

sourceRunning through the story is a lighthearted (ish) critique of current social and political commentary, wherein some of the ways in which the political left expresses itself comes in for a bit of a bashing. These are people I want to see succeed, but I worry they undermine themselves with the sometimes extremely pompous manner in which they respond to the world.
An obvious example would be the appalling phrase politically correct, which was horribly self-righteous to begin with but has now rebounded on its original exponents, whove ended up simply handing the bad guys a stick with which to beat them. Its modern equivalent seems to be the even more dreadful problematic. If youre going to express disgust, dont be polite about it.
Don't read the Clone Saga. It's doesn't make any sense and it's bad.The Clone saga seems so daunting to read; I still want to though.
Wore my Captain Marvel shirt yesterday. Went and got some coffee and the guy taking my order asks "IS THAT CAROL DANVERS!?" Not sure if he reads comics or is already familiar with her but it caught me off-guard as I didn't expect the masses to know who she is.
I'm so disappointed by Jimmy's Bastards. I love Ennis, and I don't have a problem with satirizing progressives. And I know what to expect from him, generally. But when he takes shots at concepts like microagression and creates a villainous organization called "the gender fluid," I get pretty damn uncomfortable. I don't think he really has any clue, here...looked up an interview about it and found this bit
source
That's a super bad look when applied to, say, someone asserting their gender (or lack thereof). And ugh what a tired argument about political correctness. I don't know what the hell he is doing here but I'm out.

Posting milkshake pictures? Truly nefarious.
Oh noes, how dare she enjoy a milkshake with other female creators???
Wow.
This is just sad all around.

That Twitter account that sent most of the hate her way is creepy as hell. A whole "fancomic" with several pages of Riri emasculating Tony with fake tape allegations, just weird obsessive shit.
Where did the art come from? That's a great portrait.
When we get to the new thread, I will keep a list of posts that mention a comic that is either the best around or a best of certain genre.
That's not creepy at all
It will also be used as a recommendation list too. That's not creepy at all
