Holy crap the latest issue of Uncanny X-Men makes me want to punch Bobby in his idiot face. Storm was especially out of character with her shitting on Cyclops.

Marvel seriously needs to move past this "X-Men shitting on Cyclops" phase. Its gotten ridiculous.

I read Grayson and liked it well enough, the change of pace for the character is good, hoping whenever he gets put back to being Nightwing it has the sameish tone. Also hope he gets the blue stripe back.

Jumped into Justice League with #30 and think its a fine book, I intend to at some point go back to Trinity War and catch up.

JLU I checked out too, only read an issue, but it feels kind of dull, does it pick up? Is good to see Martian Manhunter since he isn't in JL proper :(

Johns' Supes is still goods stuff and I read more of Zero Year.

Still got a few more series to check out.

Is Green Lantern worth reading after Johns' finished his run? I see it's still in crossover hell damn near everytime I see it.

Edit: Also read Black Widow, Punisher, and Avengers on the Marvel side of things and the quality between the books seems huge to me, though maybe I'm just imagining things.

Edit 2: I guess I meant between the companies, not the three Marvel books I read, they were all great and I enjoy Punisher too much.

Wait, wait. Do you mean The Names? I liked it. And really, are you going to judge a comic on one issue?

Sounds like he didn't like the issue he read, which is the only one that's out. It's fair game at that point. If I hate a first issue, I'm probably not gonna keep reading the series

I'm loving the new Punisher too

I seriously can't believe Marvel looked at Punisher #10 after the events in Ferguson and didn't think "yeah, no, now is maybe not the time to release a comic where a white man calls mexican people thugs who only deserve to be killed while his lady cop friends shoots a guy in the back, and is portrayed during her disciplinary hearing as being needed because otherwise the city would fall into chaos".

It is seriously the grossest fucking thing I have ever fucking read. It is vile. It is disgusting.

Yeah let's get angry! What were they supposed to do? The comic was probably completely finished and part of the overall storyline moving forward before the Ferguson events ever took place. Is nobody allowed to make a work of fiction about police after something in the news is about police? It's not too much of a stretch to say that the comic is completely unrelated.

Edit: That said, Punisher #10 was not as good as the last few issues. Looking forward to more...

Guys, I recently read that Batwoman Elegy arc. Where do I go with the series from there? I heard that the artist for Elegy stops drawing the main series at some point?

You can jump right into the current series that began with the New 52.

The original creative team left somewhere in the mid-20s so there's still several trades worth of J.H. Williams III's art

Not up to date with the series (tradewait) but the impressions here make it sound like the series stays good and is even better in some aspects

I decided to check out the first few trades for Posehn and Duggan's Deadpool.

Holy crap, I love this book. It is fucking hysterical. I love Deadpool's portrayal here. He's a hilariously sad tragic clown. Tony Moore's stuff in the Dead Presidents arc is great, but I'm reading The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly right now, and holy Christ, Declan Shalvey's work is bloody fantastic. He's the perfect artist to do the work for a more sober Deadpool story.

I'm not ready for some of these feels in this arc :(

It really is an awesome book. The throw back issues especially have been absolutely amazing.

The reviews I read were all in the high seven-low eight range. Granted, opinions vary from person to person, but the consensus I've seen seems to indicate most people enjoyed #1.

I think a mediocre first issue is a good idea of where an Vertigo/Image book will end up. Of course I'll hang on for the arc, but I don't feel like the conflict in general is anything interesting. Concept is neat and all, but you're not really given much of a reason to give a shit about the main character. Art was interesting though.

Is it just an arc, though? Cover said #1 of 8.

Yea, but that's not universal; things can go either way when there's only one issue out, so that's really all ya got to go on. Although, I don't typically read comics reviews, i just go by recs here or on twitter or whatever and whatever i think looks good

Oh god, someone talk me out of pre-ordering this.... 3.5", $19.99....

That arc made Deadpool more human to me. It was really good. The times where Deadpool stops telling jokes are really sobering.

Batman Beyond day is best day. Looks like Inque returns in this new arc? I'm down.

Messi should definitely not click on this link

What am I looking at? Why does that look like Olivia Wilde. Wat.

So how do you handle avatar changes? Is there a transition period where you just lose it?

It's Inque from Batman Beyond. She's awesome.

It takes about a week yeah. Except Freeza he always has a mildly sexual animu character.

That's Oliva wilde in comic form. Or at the very least she was used as reference. Right?
