Ok I have a computer wired to a wireless router and a laptop with a wireles card. I have created a folder on the desktop that should be shared, the folder's picture has a hand holding the folder. When I go to my laptop and try to view the folder on mt desktop I can't find it. Does anyone know how i get this up and running?

There's a chance that because it's on your desktop you won't be able to get to it from the other PC because of administrator rights.

Do both computers belong to the same 'Workgroup' ? Can you see the other computer?

No when I click on workgroup computers on my laptop it says:

MShome is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available.

When I click view work groups on my desktop it takes me to a blank screen that has Mshome in the address bar.

Can you log in as an admin?

Normally, I'll run MS's Network Wizard, go into the Systems info from the control panel to make sure that the correct workgroup is there then reboot.

You can probably google for help, i'm probably not being too helpful at the moment.

I'm logged in as admin on both computers.
