This. I'd love to hear from someone in this thread who is black, and who is genuinely offended by this cosplay, and their reason/s as to why they are offended. Even with the knowledge that the cosplay is out of nothing but admiration.

If we upset you, if we hurt you, if oppress you, tough. We will tell you to "get over it". We will tell you it's "just [cosplay]", because we consider everything, even [cosplay], more valuable than your thoughts, than your emotions, than your well-being, and than you.
If you dare to complain, we will remind you of that as loudly and offensively as we can.
She didn't have to do it. I personally find the idea of skin color as a costume offensive. Particularly when there's a whole damn site showing how unnecessary it is.
