I think the only one of those I played was losttemple and I do remember enjoying it. I'll have to see if anyone has remade any of those for GO and give them a shot.
All crouching does is make you an easy target. Don't do it often.
I built my rig over 3 years ago and it runs perfectly with all settings maxed. So is this game taxing on PC? I have a laptop that plays TF2 fine but idk.
I can't even play online with 360 version. Everyone else can move around the map but me. I try to move forward a few feet and I get warped back. Microsoft, Valve, and Hidden Path totally dropped the ball with testing the network code. How the heck was this ever released?
I'm thinking of demanding a refund. The most frustrating purchase ever on the 360.
Yes, it sucks. It isn't just like a small glitch...for me the game is unplayable online against others...which is the entire point of the game. At least I know now others are having problems as well.
I've played Counter-Strike to death on the PC and know most of the standard maps well enough. One of my favorite user made maps is CS_MAX which I see Valve never made offical, but to me it is a freaking great map. Though it would be a great fit for CS:GO.
Hopefully soon they'll say they know there is a problem. $15 isn't going to break me. Just going to play Shadowrun until they fix it.
Oddly enough the other day I saw someone with the LIVE tag Gabe Newell-Valve playing Shadowrun. I didn't know if it was him or a joke account.
Wow its really fun when you get a server full of cool people on 360. Played for a solid hour with the same group, and the other team was actually friendly! Starting to get my aim down solid as well.
Sure about that?

Guys, I'm trying to remember the name of a map, the layout is a bit like this:
- Terrorists start in a house
- CT start next to a tunnel
- The CTS can get to the house trough the sewers or go trough the tunnel and make their way across a field that has a couple of rocks in it and then get to the house
- When you stand in front of the house you can go to the right to go behind the back or just enter throug the front door
- The textures / graphics of the map are desert style, yellow rocks etc (like dust)...
- It's not cs_mansion!!
edit: It's cs_militia!!
On the plus side to 360 online multiplayer, the custom matches I've played with friends have ran without a hitch.
Need another 8 more maps for competitive mode asap, thanks Valve.
how do i disable text chat
Seems like the secret to success in this game has nothing to do with crouching or shooting in bursts. It's learning how to use the AWP.
This reminds me how everyone says you're supposed to crouch and fire in short bursts, yet I watch people run around firing 5 shot bursts with a M4 and still get headshots pretty often. Shit is ridiculous.
militia was so good
Ye, seems like it's never being played anymore. Couldn't find a single CS:GO server running it.
Crouch-Strike:Go... because if your not crouching your shots suck. I literally place my shots behind or facing the player at a distance while taking my time and I still get beat by players who crouch and spray.
I remember in 1.6 you could at least perform short strafes while bursting your gun and still be accurate.
That's awesome! Is it £5.25 per month? How much more would it cost to have 8vs8 or 10vs10?I've bought a server, details coming in shortly.
If you care to donate, PM me.
Server costs £5.25 for 10 persons.
I've also got a mumble server we can use.

I still think 10vs 10 is way to chaotic for CS. 8vs8 is the absolute max I think works, 7vs7 is even better. That reminds me, can you turn off the bots on a server. I don't mind them, but sometimes it's nice to play a 2vs2 or so if there aren't enough people for a full game.
Let's schedule a match. Winner takes all (or a dota 2 crate)
All skill levels are welcomed, no one will rage at those that are inexperienced.
After a week of playing this game is definitely not like 1.6 at all. Not saying that's a good or a bad thing, just feels like an update to Source more than a compromise between the 2.
I disagree. I'm a competitive 1.6 player and I think it feels a lot more like 1.6 than source. It doesn't feel exactly like 1.6 but it doesn't feel anything like source to me.
I also think they did audio better in CS:GO than they did in CS:S. I liked 1.6 audio the best. In CS:GO, you can hear things from too far away, the maximum distance at which you can hear footsteps is a lot further than it was in 1.6 which confuses me sometimes in game.
Those who prefer headphones: Set snd_headphone_pan_exponent and snd_headphone_pan_radial_weight to 2.
Those who prefer speakers: Buy headphones and see above.

Did you try this yet?
Very close to 1.6 in my opinion
Awesome, I'll definitely join later tonight.
I am like jekyll and hyde with this game. Sometimes I get into a game and I dominate. My hits are good, shots are registering and I have no issues at all. When I get killed, it's because I got shot straight up.
Other times I get into a game and net_graph looks exactly the same but I feel like my shots aren't registering, I'm getting shot up in battles that take seconds and I check and find I did no damage at all. I don't get it. I'd love to blame the server but I'm not really seeing any issues. Might be choke, I don't think that's on net_graph anymore?
Do you guys know how ELO works in this game? Does it come into play in Classic Casual games? Or is ELO just an overall ranking and there is no "matchmaking" so to speak?
Just curious because I'm still at the lowest rank and I am getting absolutely stomped by people who clearly know how to play this game properly.
Yeah...I've had similar issues. I dont know about this net_graph command - but I was joining servers with like 35 ping, and getting the drop on people and not getting them down. I'm very lethal with the AK-47, but time and time again it felt like I was behind somehow.
It lasted for about 10minutes before I got my fill of CS GO and went to play some JC2, which I just installed.
Overall, I really like CS GO more than all the other CS. I wish the skins were better though, thats my only major complaint
