So it sounds like the sex offender parole officer is the one who alerted the authorities to the possibility of something being wrong with this guy.

And this post from the guy's Facebook...

Certainly makes it seem as though he's been hiding some dark secrets for longer than the past two months.

Fucking hell. How much more obvious could it be? Guy was basically spelling out he was a serial killer for months, and no one said anything?

I mean, isn't this what most of us were suggesting they do on the first page? You don't need to watch 10 seasons of SVU to know something was fucked up with those FB posts and to get a warrant for the IP.

Being on the registry is supposed to mean that you were punished and reformed. This dude was convicted of kidnapping though. Shouldn't that have been 25 to life?

She was a minor so if they found the girl with him, and he took her away from the home or someplace, I believe that would be considered kidnapping, even if he never touched her. Even if it was only for a bit after school and they met up or whatever and she wanted him there. So it would depend on what happened. If there was no sexual accusations, the system would likely have been more lenient but I don't know anything about the case, just pondering.

Fucking chilling when you put it like that. Just a reminder that these stories involve real people. I feel that often times people just read these kind of stories, just like they are stories of caution or of interest without giving much thought that these are real people out in the world right now experiencing these things and likely suffering, it's not like a tv show. Not throwing that towards anybody here mind you, just something I have observed.

Well this is horrifying...

So glad they found that lady alive though. I really hope there aren't more victims and that the husband is found soon.

I was reading on his Facebook where someone said he was responsible over 5 different counties. I think they need to expand the search.

Everything about this sickens me. The coworkers fucking "naive" response. The police's laziness and/or incompetence. The fact that this is less than an hour from where I live.

On the property she was found on. Sheriff did another interview about 2 hours ago. Not really worth watching as that was the only piece of new info. Say they're aware of his Facebook posts though and investigating them obviously.

This case has been in the back of my mind since I read about it weeks ago. Horrible stuff, but so glad the woman is safe and alive. I have not much hope for the husband unfortunately, but hopefully it will be resolved soon and the bastard put in jail for the rest of his life.

This is absolutely horrifying. Reminds me of when my mom told me about how she used to do some part time work at this man's house and then a few years later the man killed his wife with an axe and my mom recognized him on the news as her former employer.

She and her colleagues were out on a rural piece of South Carolina land Thursday morning, preparing to serve a search warrant.

She asked the other deputies whether they heard the banging, too. But it was hard to tell. It could have been just some noise coming from the woods, someone said.

The deputies listened more closely, and hearing it again they moved closer to a 30-foot-long shipping container and knocked on the side.

Inside Kala Brown, missing since late August, started screaming. "Help me! Get me out of here!" Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright told Ashleigh Banfield of HLN's "Primetime Justice."

The deputies took a padlock off the doors of the container and opened it.

Inside they found the 30-year-old woman tethered by the neck, "chained like a dog," the sheriff said.

I've been in here for two months, she told the deputies, who found tools on the property and cut her free.

"It's just a miracle by God that we found her alive," Wright told HLN.

There was no sign of Brown's 32-year-old boyfriend, Charles David Carver, who also disappeared in August.

Later, as dozens of people searched the 100-acre property, his vehicle was found. It was in a ravine, covered in brush.

A cadaver dog picked up on something, but it's not clear what, Wright said.

Brown told deputies she thinks four people might be buried on the property, which is owned by Todd Kohlhepp, the sheriff said. Kohlhepp, a registered sex offender, was arrested.

Kohlhepp is not cooperating with investigators, Wright said.

The sheriff described the container as a hellish place to be locked in during the area's hot weather. No lights, no windows, no air flow. Two visits a day, where Brown was given food and water.

She was wearing clothes when she was found. It's not clear whether they are the same ones she was wearing when she and Carver went missing.

Wright told the media that investigators think Kohlhepp, Carver and Brown may have known each other, but their relationship wasn't clear to authorities.

"I don't think this was a random act," the sheriff said.

Kohlhepp, 45, was added to the South Carolina Sex Offender Registry as a result of a 1987 kidnapping conviction in Arizona when he was a teenager.

Wright thanked the efforts of the Spartanburg County sex crimes investigators for leading them to the Kohlhepp property.

The sheriff said deputies found weapons on the property.

He described the property as a farm that has no home on it. Kohlhepp doesn't live on the property but was arrested there. It is unclear whether he has an attorney but he asked for one when he was arrested.

Police were still searching the property Thursday night.

I'm hoping the nonchalant BS they were putting out in the media was just that: BS. Since if they had been like 'Oh yeah, we are currently getting a warrant for the IP and we'll let you know.' The dude could have split, and now that we know she was still alive, killed her or moved her to another location.

A lot of people believe they are the Devil. The Devil exists in humans unfortunately. This man has done some evil things in his life. It's horrifying to think of what those people might have went through. I am afraid to imagine what it might have been like. It's scary.

I doubt she ever truly fully recovers, but, with the help of good friends, family, and a really good therapist she can get through some of it I'd hope.

And likely some powerful drugs to help as well.

Yeah they are looking for evidence, the woman who was rescued said there are 4 bodies on the property. Sheriff said "We're trying to make sure that we don't have a serial killer on our hands, it could very well be a possibility we have"

I verify realtor licences who want to work with my company and i look up any reasons their licenses have been suspended in the past, as long as its not financial we accept. Ive seen a register offender and questioned it but sadly was told it didnt stop him from working with us.
