The collector in me is keeping me from even considering selling the Amazon edition even though those resell prices are ridiculous. I wish I could do it but I can't.

Well both sets had a limited number of copies made (2500 for the Funimation one, 10,000 for Amazon) and they're sold out.
I guess Funi could have more sets made at some point in the future. I don't have a ton of experience with blu-ray anime, so not sure how often these things stay limited.

I've been a Bebop fan since 2002(maybe 2001), and I've collected a few things from the series over the years including games, music CDs and figures, so the limited edition was a definite buy for me.

I honestly think the Funimation Exclusive should be worth more since they only made 2,500 of those compared to the 10,000 Amazon one, guess the art books add that much value to it. Now I regret a little canceling the $70 Amazon one I had but oh well XD
In time I think it will be. Once they are actually released to market I really believe the resale on the Amazon edition will fall dramatically.
This is possible. 10,000 seems like a high number for them to be worth 200+
If it's less than that I'll keep it for sure.

Can't for my Amazon Exclusive. I have it payed for and I sent them a email asking to ensure it was shipped in a box with adequate packaging. Trying to avoid the usual shitty bubble envelope they send stuff in. They responded saying they made a note.

I'm hoping this set is big and heavy enough that they ship it in a box, but you never know. Any time I order comic book trades from them, I almost always have to replace it because they send them in over-sized mailers that mess the book up.
Fucking hell. Ordered the Blu ray special edition off Funimation using a prepaid debit card. I thought everything was a-ok. Didn't loose the card or spend any money on the card. Get an email saying the card wasn't charged so they fucking canceled my preorder. Shit like this is why I wish there was an option to be charged .

Ya I will raise hell if they do send it one of those mailers. Whenever this does happen I try to be nice and ask if they can send another or to not do it again. Fuck up my Cowboy Bebop and it won't be pretty

Honestly, the biggest thing I'm looking forward to this is the 65 minute dinner get together with the Bebop dub cast. Gonna be fun .

Amazon one looks better so I would pay more for it.
I just hope mine doesn't get all banged up in the mail. Been having bad luck with amazon and collectors editions recently. Always seems to happen on things like this that are actually limited so returning does nothing for me.

My thought process goes like this:
If it had been $300 on Amazon, would I have purchased it? No, I wouldn't have, because it isn't worth $300 to me.
That said, still haven't sold it. Tempted to list it at BIN of $400 and see what happens.

Note on the listing that the item is a pre-order and that you'll mail it out once you receive it. That's pretty common.
you tell people it's a preorder and you will ship it when you get it.
I have two listings for one item, one is at $300 BIN and one is at 400. I'm guessing the 300 is gonna sell soon. Tons of people watching it. Havent really seen any 400 sell yet. Mostly just assholes who buy and cancel

I never watched Cowboy Bebop, ever, and have the Amazon edition on preorder. Now I'm wondering if I should keep it or sell it and buy the standard Blu-ray edition. I'm a sucker for collector's items though.

Made the mistake of looking at ebay prices and considering selling even though my inner collector is screaming no. If the funi editions go over 300 I probably will, especially if I can't find work over break.
I should also sell those copies of Katanagatari I have, it's well over double what I paid for the pair now anyway. I just can't justify keeping something worth that much.

I watched it a couple years ago, i dont remember much about it but i remember liking the first episode,there was one about a dog, a casino, a fridge at the end, the intro and some weird tv commercials.
It was ok, just felt like something lacked after all the Gaf praise, its better written than most animes, i suppose.
