Got my Funi LE. They sent it via USPS which gave me a heart attack. It's intact though. I'm afraid to take it out of the shrinkwrap till my copy arrives from Amazon.

Oh wow you can feel the texture of the fake vinyl grooves on the edges of each disc. Nice touch!

My buddy told me this was his favorite anime. I've never seen it. I have the Amazon Edition and the movie coming tomorrow, I am super excited.

Just ordered. I'll be home for the holidays, so I'm wondering if this show is "family friendly." How is the swearing and nudity?

It's got some swearing for what I remember, but nothing too bad. Just stuff you'd hear in a PG-13 movie. There's only one instance of nudity I can think of (I'm sure others remember it too...) but other than that it's Faye wearing bikinis and revealing clothing.

The nudity is brief. I recall there being more exposed male flesh than female and only 2 shower scenes at the most. Most of the outfits worn by Faye are quite revealing.

No idea about the profanity, I haven't listened to the dubs.

The show's violence goes a bit further, dudes getting clapped left and right in some of the more violent episodes like Pierrot Le Fou and Ballad of Fallen Angels.

From what I can remember there's only one brief scene of nudity (in episode 13 I think).

Swearing is there, but the PG-13 variety from what I recall. Damn, son of a bitch, shit, hell, etc. No f-bombs.

Never?? Not once?

I have the amazon edition on the way but I think I'd rather have the regular version (same discs anyways, right?). Not much of a collector, just want the discs. Does anyone want to buy my sealed Amazon edition when it gets here? $75 plus shipping, or trade for the standard edition plus $30. PM please.

**EDIT: didn't realize these are rare. Keeping it. Haha.

I powered through the first 9 episodes yesterday, "shit" was said three times, nothing worse than that.

Also the blu-rays are very pretty, aside from scenes with CGI. Which don't look "bad" per se, they just lack resolution.

The standard edition is blu-ray only or DVD only. Not both in one package like the premium sets. Probably doesn't matter to you, but worth noting.

The actual on-disc content is identical for all the sets.

just ordered another amazon exclusive edition for a back up :)

i figured since those that have/had no money in their bank accounts get their orders canceled

Ordered one of those LE's. I'm in Canada. I already have one coming from Cineplex. I will see if I can cancel that. Or maybe I will just keep it and get both.

Watanabe's shows all have really good dubs from what I've watched. Bebop, Champloo and Space Dandy are all grade A English dubs that deserve a listen.
Good point. Freaking loved Champloo's and Dandy's is good also.

Kids on the Slope is the one Watanabe show I've seen where the dub was lackluster. Wasn't horrible, but I enjoyed it a lot more subbed.

Thanks for the content answers. You just never know what kind of crazy shit is in these anime shows. I'm really pumped to check this series out.

I'm so pissed at myself....went to add to cart, let it sit there for 30 minutes, then when I added it was gone. No no no no no! It bums me out people selling these for so much....I don't hold it against them, but I want an actual copy to open. To watch. To look at the books and keep forever. Depressing to see these being bought just to sell off.

I thought Amazon only had 10,000?
They did, but there was undoubtedly some cancellations. Or maybe Amazon cancellations because people's payment info was out of date. Since they don't charge you until it ships, even if you pre-order way in advance.

Yeah, I only need the blu-rays. Thanks. Just saw that the set is getting rare so maybe I'll hang on to it.
