I’ve done all kind of drugs and been around them half my life and never heard of spice. Glad that shit doesn’t seem to be a thing in Canada. Or a least from what I know.

I remember when they banned the most popular kinds of spice in Illinois so everyone went and bought out all that shit from the smoke shops. Smoked probably a total of a quad of the stuff throughout a summer. Took a couple bong rips once and felt paralyzed for a few minutes so I threw the rest away and stuck mostly with weed. Never looked like that dude in the OP though, that I know of.

Spice in the ( US ) was a supposedly legal to sell until more shit like this happened.
I dont know why someone would smoke this shit before weed , legal or illegal.

What I’m seeing from the videos of spice this isn’t anything like weed. Everyone here in Canada smokes weed or at least seems like it. Very potent stuff too. I wouldn’t categorize this shit with weed. Why are they acting like their using bath salts? Help me understand the difference because im confused.... Seems like a cheap dirty way of getting high by spraying garage chemicals into leftover shake from what I see.

Pretty much , they spray synthetic cannabinoid chemicals on plant material that’s not even weed.
Who knows what kind of shit they use , it used to be a work around for places where weed is illegal until they made it illegal.
This is a terrible example of how drugs legislation focused on prohibition and criminalisation fucks everyone, when synthetic weed came out in the UK the effects were relatively benign. Legislators saw people getting high off stuff you could buy in a petrol station and thought "well obv we have to ban this". Net result: spice makers started to fuck with the formula to stay "legal" resulting in horrible shit like this getting on the streets instead. The guy in this video needs help. Legislators need to understand that the problem isn't the stuff which gets you fucked up in the first place it's the "life" which drives people to want to get mullered in the first place, and they will find a way to do do it as evidenced by the fact that humans getting out their heads is as old as time itself. Give desperate people a safe way to do it by focusing the way we respond on harm reduction rather than criminalization ie, make sure there are safe ways and substances for desperate people to get out their heads without committing heinous crimes and, ideally, help them improve their lives so it's not such a necessity, or a less frequent one at the very least.

It's usually a full cannabinoid agonist vs weed, which is only a partial agonist. These are usually research chemicals with little to no studies behind them on their effects. This is why it's incredibly addictive, has physical withdrawals, and has all kinds of crazy effects that do not look like anything marijuana would do.
For example, if you are addicted to a synthetic cannabinoid - weed will do nothing for you. You'll still be in withdrawal.

I remember when spice was "annihilation" first and anyone could go buy it from Doc Herman's or whatever other headshop. Awful, awful stuff. Like another poster said above, this is exactly what happens when you have archaic and draconian drug laws - people just find increasingly more dangerous ways to get high legally until the government finds out, and they move on to the next thing. Spice has all but ruined Manchester, every time I go back home I'm sad to see how bad it is.

Is Spice different these days? I smoked a few joints of Spice when I was younger and it did nothing to me whatsoever, like smoking a cigarette. As far as I knew it was a shit, but harmless legal alternative to weed.

Nah I don’t think people are smoking that shit besides rare occurrences. Great bud is everywhere and easy to get. Haven’t been to the US in about 5 years and every time I went I’m surprised with the crap bud people smoke there. Probably the reason why people opt for this garbage. Uk here and not personally seen that spice where i live but theres alot of heroin and crack one of funniest weirdest things i saw was today took my mom to do her shopping(shes high risk covid so waits in car) saw this bloke inside clearly bag head saying he lost cash card anyway come out where my old dears parked and these smack heads parked right by her next thing cop car rolls in parks opposite them the driver sees them n ducks hides gta5 ability while the cops just look at car for 20 mins was hilarious.
